7 years later and is still making med students' lives easier 🤩 i wish my professors are like you 🥺 Biochemistry is a foundation subject in med school and I know that being in a post-graduate is more advanced type of learning but it's like you get reset entering as a 1st year and pre-med feels like a different universe altogether haha it's important to have a stable foundation in the 4 core subjects. I know Harper's is like the bible in Biochemistry but holy crap there's too many words to filter and dissect through and it makes my life as a slow learner sorta difficult because everything is fast in med school like 1 day has like 2-4 modules per subject and by examination come you have like 20+ to study. Huge appreciation to you really for making it easier for students like me to understand fast and clearly xx

Quick comment -- (great video btw) Alpha 1,4 glycosidic bonds will be formed below the plane of the molecule (OH group pointing down)! other than that, great explanation!
i think he just meant on same side (alpha) vs. opp (beta)
That is true. The explanation given is for a beta bond
