I agree but this is a hand picked opponent for her. The UFC wants it to work at flyweight for Rose. They like Weili obviously as the Straw Champ.
@@knowsmebyname100% facts. Rose is Amanda's cucuy/kryptonite. Part of Amandas antics is intimidating with all the screaming she does and Rose has never fallen victem to it, take the Rose vs Joanna press conferences for example, Rose was there to do a job and that was it. Amanda is great for general audience thought, shes always there to scrap but she isn't really know for being technical. Rose capitalizes on aggressive fighters, shes great at counter striking, I think it's gonna be a rough night for Amanda, but may the best fighter win, personally do hope Rose wins though, shes one of my favorite fighters.

I am a Conor convert. The hardest thing to get used to in the UFC is that the best fighters lose...often. their reigns are not long. But I join you in expecting our girl to deliver.
@@knowsmebynameUFC fans are mostly made up of bandwagoners. A lot aren't really interested in it for the sake of the art form which is fine, im grate for them, UFC wouldnt be the same. You seem like one of the few newer UFC fans with respect which is refreshing because usually they're super aggro and rude, god bless glad to see newer generation not be so disrespectful. UFC is so competitive and constantly evolving, styles change, metas change, there was a time when superman punch's were used by every fighter in just about every fight. Now, you never see it, I think Jon Jones evolved the elbow meta, now they're in every fight, leg kicks were i think evolved by fighters like Jose Aldo and Benson Henderson, its amazing how the game is in a constant change, we're now in the meta of wrestling, wonder what will counter wrestling in a few years. Rose’s resume is practically all rematches. She arguable and IMO lost to Weili in the rematch. She barely survived the rematch with Jessica after the first lost getting slammed. She lost to Carla twice, lost to Tecia Torres and Karolina Kowalkiewicz of all people. She barely fights. Not sure why she carry’s so much stock tbh.
Rose’s rematches: Joanna 2x, Carla 2x, Weili 2x, Jessica Andrade 2x, Tecia Torres 2x.
She’s had a total of 14 UFC fights AND that’s including her last lost to Manon Fiorot. She pretty much hasn’t fought many varieties of fighters. That’s kind of crazy lol.

Cherry picking my point above - her entire career was built on second chances “rematches” and gifted wins. She’s had 14 ufc fights and only 5 of them are from various original fighters. I’m not disagreeing that Rose is decent but she’s definitely not great.

@@scottc2076 it’s fighting. Anyone could get a punchers chance. And in the rematch honestly.. Rose was gifted that win. Arguable many thought Weili won. Weili was winning and up on the score card. She laid and prayed on top doing no significant damage. Weili also took Rose down 5 times landing more damaging shots especially to her legs.
I'd love to see her win her last fight but she still can't stop the takedowns..Rose gets submitted in round 2..
Ribas doesn’t have way better BJJ then rose, I see rose staying safe on the ground and utterly destroying ribas on the feet.
I love Rose but she didnt exactly slay that takedown demon the last time she faced it. She needs to do that eventually.

Rose wasn't big for 115 and she took a full year off between fights without seeming to have bulked up at all for 125. I really hope the ufc changes their weight cut policies because as it is it's not uncommon at all for people to outweigh opponents on fight night by ten or more pounds.
How or why should they change their weight classes or weigh-ins policy? The UFC years ago led the way to get morning before weigh-ins so that fighters have 36+ hours to rehydrate when most companies were do weigh-ins 24 hours before or even morning of. Weight cutting in EVERY combat sport has ALWAYS been part of the strategy. Do you cut a lot of weigh and rehydrate to be the bigger fighter on fight day? OR do you fight in a weight class close to your training weight weight so you don't need a big cut - and therefore should have better stamina and more cranium fluids on fight night. Both methods have been shown to work for for elite level fighters depending on their styles. -- PS. 10 pounds is very little on fight day. In some heavyweight fights a fighter who walks around at 300+ may start their cut at 295+ cut to 265.9 for weigh-ins and rehydrate back to 290+ by fighter time -- when they may be fighting a fast heavyweight that walks around and fights at 230. So a difference 60 pounds could be seen in a heavyweight fight. Even in some women's FW (145) fights some women rehydrate past 165 while their opponent might still be exactly on 145 if they are not a big weight cutter so a 20 pound difference.

No way she’s winning the 125 belt by the end of the year 💀😂 not realistic at all. So many worthy opponents ahead of her at 125. But she does have a strong chance of winning the belt at some point it just depends which rose shows up that night…. I hope it’s a competitive fight between the two.
Its a stretch but not impossible. Lets say she finishes Ribas, she might be ranked #6, also considering her being former champion. Then just another fight with a top 5 fighter. Then the title fight at the end of the year.

It's delusional, and i follow/support Rose before her TUF, they are a lot of good fighters in the top 10 Manon/Shev/alexa/erin/Maycee and so on, for now she is not even in any top 5 115lb or 125lb and 115 is starting to move a lot recently, in her last two fights she showed no improvement against Carla and couldn't manage Manon who has many gaps in her ground game.
