For the cold issue, you might find the Wim Hof method that talks about the importance of cold therapy and breathing...very interesting!
There's a fairly simple DIY for swimming in place.
Mount a flexible rod vertically at one end of the pool with line attached from it to a belt around your waist. (A fishing pole is ideal) That way you can swim full on without worrying about hitting the end of the pool. Some people spend thousands of dollars on swim-in-place jetted pumps, but this simple setup basically does the same exact thing.
Brilliant!!!!! Go for it.
Great idea with the resistance band/pully so that you don't have to make a really long pool! My daughter also has no where to swim laps right now. Thank you for the inspiration!

that's AWSOME!!! have you thought of using a RV water heater with propane power? look up stock tank pools for filtering systems I think it will make it super easy to keep clean.
We have a filter hooked up now, and we heat the pool 45mins before I swim in it from the hot water tank in the house :) works great!
I’m definitely going to make a variation of this pool. In times like these we gotta get creative 😎👍🏾

Use black sheet pool cover when not using it and the sun will heat the water.

I love the pool!! But where is the skimmer and out put jet?
No jet's in the pool. Every time I would use it we would pump out old water and pump in hot water from the house. Water stayed very clean!

Hey! I have a pump that brings in fresh water every time I use it, and we heat it with the sun and the hot water tank from the house… just got to face the cold!
