    Had mine removed a week ago. Still waiting for some bad reactions but so far nothing. No diarrhoea, no problems with laporascopic holes (healing fine), no indigestion problems (eating low fat diet at the moment), no pain inside, no shoulder pain, no acid reflux. I just came across this video today as I was in the hospital yesterday and the day before because I had the worst stomach pain in my entire life...the doctor told me I most likely passed a gallstone and did an ultrasound to check for gallstones in my gallbladder and turns out I do and need to have surgery to remove it. I keep watching videos on RUclips and I will be honest, it is very discouraging. I'm a little freaked out and have alot of worries. It's really sounding like you have to completely change your life by eating super healthy for rest of life-which I am all for, but not all of us can afford to eat super healthy/clean everyday of life the way food costs these days. I already don't eat much because of my issues(always bloated, feeling full, cramps, acid reflux) but also because I want to be healthier. I already don't eat red meat at all, I hardly eat any kind of meat and mostly veggies, grains, legumes. I don't eat spicy food, and hardly eat take out. I can only eat twice a day as it is. I have horrible acid reflux that I take pepcid for and I keep hearing on all these videos that by having gallbladder removed it can actually make acid reflux worse because the bile is flowing directly into intestines etc. And that most people go to the bathroom more often after and that weight becomes a problem which is a big concern of mine because I really want to lose weight and keep it off and it just sounds like weather I get gallbladder removed or not, weight will always be an issue is what all these videos make it seem like and I just hope that is not the case. I'm not huge, but I am also a little bigger than I should be for my frame despite eating better. I also keep hearing that a person can still get bloated, gassy, constipated after surgery and that is discouraging to hear as well so please, if anyone out there has positive stories and advice/encouragement, I'd love to hear it because I'm feeling very down :(

      some issues with me.... constipation all the time and sensitivity of stomach to all foods.....even after 3 years of gallbladder removal.... I request all the patients who are trying for surgery should avoid surgery.... Living with pain with gall bladder is far far better than without it.... And pain still will be there even after removal due to bloating.... I certainly recommed to struggle until near to death.... ignore once in a while attacks.... keep calm mind,,,
      Recommed reading 'Power of your subconscious mind' book how to calm gall stones using your mental power....
      wish I had known all these before surgery....
      Don't listen to doctors.... not even to yourself.... Don't let in even 0.001% of removal thought in your mind.... ur body will take care of itself...
      follow normal to healthy diet.... believe in yourself.....I believe by following above things, u can live with your bladder for 10-15 yrs more....
      Make a change, make a story into the history....

Also Gall Bladder removal can lead to a Fatty Liver as your liver has to work harder that before and gets stressed out. Anyway I had mine out 30 years ago. I did gain some weight as you describe. But if you reduce your Intake and walk a lot it is not that bad. Good Luck to you. By the way I have lived in China the last 15 years and find the food here is very different. But still crave the Western Diet at times. I have learned out how to make Ice Cream, Apple Pie, Pizza Pie and other Foods I used to like. But now the Apple pie is without sugar. My Pizza is mainly just tomato sauce on Wafer thin crust. with a few veggies and very little cheese.

      Sprouts, might be your go-to place for dairy free/ gluten free foods. That’s at least where I get most of my dairy free/ gluten free foods. (I’m not gluten free, but my mom is.) So, I know at Sprouts they have gluten free taco shells. I would stay away from salsa though- that’s what my surgeon/ doctor told me- to stay away/ limit spicy, greasy, and fatty foods. I’ve also heard that Matcha is a good/ healthier replacement option for coffee. Maybe look into that? I’m not a nutritionalist/ doctor/ or anything like that.

    I'm going to have a cholecystectomy pretty soon. It was supposed to happen October 18 of this year, but it was changed. I'm not sure when it will happen, but I just want to know will there be acid reflux or will my life expectancy change? I have so much to live for and I'm really scared.

    I heard that when your gallbladder is removed your body no longer breaks down fats and absorbs it all leading to a lot of weight gain.. is this true?

      Everybody’s body is different. For me, after I had my Gallbladder removed I lost a lot of weight. I choose to have a healthy lifestyle.😊

      Re-read what you just said. If the body is no longer breaking down the fat how can it be absorbed lol goes right out the backdoor, hence the diarreah. Order ox bike and have a pill mid meal each meal and you'll be fine.

    • @setapartforHim
      @setapartforHim 3 года назад +1

      Depends on the individual. For me it helped me made better health choices and I need to use ox bile and digestive enzymes. I do feel nauseous at times and it doesn't feel good. As far as weight goes it didn't make a difference with me but I have heard of ppl loosing weight and also ppl gaining a lot of weight so it depends on the person

  • @Amv110
    @Amv110 4 года назад

    Heads up on that acid reflux- it's actually bile. Sometimes a combination of both but bile is alkaline in nature. Soaking up the bile is the key . I'm in the same boat. Bland diet and my gut goes through starvation mode and acts on IBS like symptoms. They are trying an antispasmodic for me so I'd see about alternative solutions as far as reflux. Avoiding acid or high fat foods and dairy in your case ( they checked me I'm negative thank goodness for now) and caffienated foods are a big big reflux trigger. How did your reflux end up after the last hurrah of your recovery? Would love to know if you portioned your meals out or ran a mile more than usual to expell the gas and bloating. My case is epigastric tension after eating certain foods in a certain amount at a certain time in the whole day. Go figure. Be well; I used to do weights at the gym ( with the big boys prior to removal) and sprinting with the nick name speedy. Lol. Exercise helps a million so keep running that mile! Thank if you know what works for you to this day! Positive energy really is relieving to those watching your story.
