Hi Chris - thanks, great vid as always. More Bronze DC info to explain what was happening with Dynamic Classics -- here are the 4 reprint titles DC tried to launch as part of the 1978 “DC Explosion.” They soon fell victim to Warner Communications’ “DC Implosion” at various stages: Dynamic Classics - the 1 issue you own Battle Classics - 1 issue of DC war Demand Classics - unpublished, 1st issue advertised showing cover Western Classics -- unpublished, not advertised “Demand” was set to publish a reprint of “Flash of Two Worlds” which I had not yet read at that time. So I was very disappointed that the reprint never appeared. The "Western" title was set to publish reprints of Bat Lash (Nick Cardy) and Johnny ("Lawman") Thunder (likely Gil Kane stories - mostly from the late 1950s). We know about that title because DC ran off 2 issues of a “Cancelled Comic Cavalcade” ashcan, filled with "Implosion" inventory on the office copier to secure copyrights, with Xeroxed unpublished covers of #1 & #2. Have a great new year Chris & Nicole & Family - Jim in Indiana

Also Nice but remarkable haul, Chris all I can say is: thank you for sharing Chris keep up the good work stay safe out there and have a good day and a Happy New Year.🙂🟢🦸🟢🇺🇲🏋️
Nice Haul to finish out/start the new year! Really caught my attention with those untold legend books. I had forgotten about those until the other day. Really enjoy those covers as well. And of course, some great other Batman finds! As for virgin covers, I don't know that I can say I like them. I agree, the trade dress/logo is part of the book for me. That's probably just the generation I'm from, but that's the way I like it! Thanks again, Chris. Here's hoping you and yours a great 2024!
While I do have a few virgin covers, I do agree that it's a hassle organizing. I have been digging the minimum trade dress DC has had on their B covers for some years.
Hmm, hadn’t thought about that much but I think it’s to focus more on reading. I’ll still buy books but want to work through some of the stories I’ve completed.
Untold Legend of Batman was the second DC limited series. Issue 1 was the first work John Byrne did for DC. Not a reprint book at all. Congrats on the Silver Surfer 125. Issue 146 might cost anywhere from 10 to 35 dollars depending on the dealer or store.
Good to know about Byrne on the Untold Legend. Never knew that. The price estimate sounds about right on SS 146 but I’m willing to spend a little on it when the time comes.
The Dynamic Classics did indeed only last one year from October of 78 to October of 79. According to the write-up it says "Dynamic classics was intended to be an ongoing series of reprints but lasted only one issue due to the DC implosion" 🤔

They soon fell victim to Warner Communications’ “DC Implosion” at various stages:
Dynamic Classics - the 1 issue you own
Battle Classics - 1 issue of DC war
Demand Classics - unpublished, 1st issue advertised showing cover
Western Classics -- unpublished, not advertised

Love that Ron Garney art on that Silver Surfer run
Glad to see those She Hulks comics, I am a fan of her since day one and I am glad to see she is still popular
Hi Chris,
great video to start the new year.
I am no friend of virgin covers. I like the covers best if they have just a small trade dress.
