Can't believe Nick was only 21 at the time and he comes across as a true professional (You too Simon, don't worry!)-will always be my favourite member! 🌹
In the 80's 7 and the Ragged Tiger was my favorite album along with Duran Duran. Nick Rhodes my favorite, was my inspiration in discovering my talent for musical keyboards. Hopefully one day I'll thank him for that.
Nick is so adorable! When he was all serious and professional about it, then suddenly came out with the "There goes the telephone!" and his beautiful smile was just so funny I can't stop smiling myself! The poor angel looks tired in this, and Simon looks as bored as I did at school today. *Slaps Simon* How dare you do something that rude to Nick! He's the god all of all Durans!!
Great archive interview of my iconic idols: Simon & Nick! I really admire your insightful observations and attention to detail. I saw Duran Duran live last month on June 1 2023, at the Moda Center here in our city, Portland Oregon, and seeing them for the second time in my life. I first saw their concert in Miami in 2006, the same year Our Dear Son, Sanjay Arman Kumar II was born. Now he's 17, and I'm seeing them again! I bought their Seven & the Ragged Tiger in childhood and it was one of my favorite albums, along with "Hunting High and Low" from A-ha. I made my own extended 45-minute version of "The Seventh Stranger" combined with "Tiger Tiger". Also, the more underrated songs from this album that a absolutely adore are "Shadows On Your Side" and "On Crime and Passion". Splendid album, and the synths from Nick are timeless masterpieces. Splendid archive interview, and we look forward to seeing more of your videos! ~ Dr. Sanjay Kumar
I agree with everyone who has expressed thanks for sharing all of these fantastic old DD videos...what a trip down memory lane for us 80's fans! There is NO other band in the world to compare...LOVE them! Nick was always so articulate, and they are all just so darn funny...and dreamy looking, of course.
Nick's so fuckin' beautiful! I love it when the phone rings and he says: "there goes the telephone" he looks so cute with his pretty smile. I love Nick Rhodes he's the sexiest guy ever to me!!! i hope i find a guy that looks similar to him someday.
somehow I stumbled on to this,,,,,,,simon was and is so beautiful. i know he has his beautiful wife and children but when I was very young I wanted him to be my husband ,but besides that listening to English music inspired me to move to europe amounst other factors.I met my own prince and how 2 beautiful kids of my own. I will always be a duran duran fan .
Now, likeanangel826, ru fully aware of how rare an precious these vids r?? I've no words. Would someone have told me, one day I would have seen and get
Thank you for the upload. Seeing Duran Duran as I will always remember them. Seven was the album that introduced me to them and still to this day, I'll always be a Duranie. They are coming to Miami on the 12th of this year...Sure would be a nice birthday present for me. Thank you again.
Duran Duran no tiene la culpa de que sus padre los hicieron bellos y por el buen gusto por la música además de vestirse bien y decentemente simón es mi favorito lindo
Thanks a lot for this very nice video.Tiger is for me essential of this band at that time...As i know,it was the first album, when some problems among them started in Australia..Thanks for that...Hmm.Atmospere in some dd videos is hard do describe...
Simon the poor dear, had a cold here! It's no wonder he didn't talk very much in this, his throat probably hurt! :( He still looks as beautiful and sexy as ever though! 😊
I was so into Duran Duran's first 3 albums & Arcadia. I continued to buy their next few, but never found anything I liked at all. Same thing happened with The Cure & Depeche Mode. I really, really tried to like their post 80s stuff, and I'm glad that they're all still around and I'll give the new stuff a listen, but it's all meh. I don't know, maybe it's me. I still listen to the song LIKE AN ANGLE all the time and It never gets old. Why can't they make dreamy-ass sh!t like that anymore?
