Glass particle generation may occur upon opening of single-dose glass ampoules. If injected parenterally, these glass particles illustrate a health risk for patients. This risk is particularly high for patients in surgery rooms and intensive care units as patients receive drugs almost exclusively in parenteral form.

Shawn James This happened to me, I apparently injected a pc of glass when I gave myself my B12 shot on the arm. I now have very intense pain and numbness on hand and forearm. I can’t seem to find any info of what to do or expect when this actually happens 😫😖🙁

Risky meterial, some part of glass into the under botol.
Those ampoules are not scored, plus you're not opening it correctly. Ampoules are still the most tamper proof way to provide medication that is hermetically sealed and has an extremely long shelf life. Additionally, you could use a filter needle to remove glass particles, but most never do because drawing up injectables from ampoules is extremely safe.
I don't get this, is it ok to inject someone with glass particles?

Some oral ampule vitamin is given for new born babies. It's dangerous to see this small pieces of glasses given in they mouth.!!!!
