Derek is wrong. Israel is no different to any other country in God's eyes. Its pre-eminence ceased at the Cross. And so Jesus said that the kingdom of God would be taken from Israel and given to another nation. This idolizing of Israel all started from Schofield. I agree partially because I think Israël continues to exist in Jesus. In other words, Israël are Gods people and that is the Church. Jesus was the head of Judah but he would reunite the, after Solomon, split kingdoms of Judah (two tribes) and Israël (ten tribes). These two sticks would be reunited, as Hosea teaches, into one New Man. These ten tribes were headed by the sond of Joseph, Efraïm and Manassas. When Jesus returns he will appears as the chosen Son of Jakob Israël and that is Joseph. You can read that in revelation.
