Pastor Derek's teaching is very easy to understand. He explained the Scriptures in the way you could visualize. I like his sharing his own experiences as examples. Not many preachers can speak with authority and such a calmness yet with boldness.

I was also struggling with sin & needed deliverance. I did a 3 day fast and on the last day I prayed along with one of Derek Prince sermon called "Derek Prince prayer for deliverance" it was powerful. I experienced deliverance.
it's good to keep on doing fasts at different times . . . Instead of being like "i did it then because of __ but now i don't need that." ... Need a compelling reason to do it? The Holy Spirit will stir you and remind you of reasons to do it. It takes the 1st step of obedience and then the next, one step at a time. . . . Preaching to myself here. 😊

It’s good to crucify our flesh. If you’re slothful (like I can be) and if that behavior is getting in the way of a goal, it’s also good to fast until the goal is completed, bc withholding food is sometimes the only thing that gets a sloth moving! Jesus is concealed in the Old Testament and revealed in the New Testament.
