I have an AR-15 in 5.56 X 45 mm NATO (.223) and an AR-10 in 7362 X 51 mm NATO. IMO, gas guns need a cleaning after every shooting session, whether range trip or varmint hunting. And I mean barrel, action, and BCG. And take the BCG apart and get as detailed as you can. Bolt guns, I normally also clean after every range trip. This last hunting season, I checked zero and did not clean, figuring, I got zero with a dirty rifle. But cleaning after season took a while. And really, there is not an appreciable shift between clean cold bore shot and warm shots if you have everything else tight.
Could not agree more Wade….a lot of these guy literally think they are cool because they don’t clean their guns. Don’t get me wrong I probably clean my guns after every other or every 3rd range trip. Some of these guy think they are hard because they don’t clean it or even oil it but once every 3 years.
Two things I thought I knew when I was an 0311. #1 how to shoot #2 how to clean a rifle. #3 how to drink a lot. I WAS WRONG ON BOTH. I know that was 3 things but I was an 11. 😅
Wade, I want a 30min in depth video breaking down every aspect of cleaning your ar15. Format it in a way that it could hold the attention span of a 3rd grader. In all seriousness, short, sweet, to the point. Another great vid
I want to do more vids in that realm, with RUclips’s bs , thinking we need to look at one of the other video platforms for hosting those types of vids.
@@txpredatorhunting it’s pretty wild that I can watch YT reels and every other video is piss poor gun handling, completely ignorant shit. But people who are properly and safely demonstrating all things firearms are the ones who get attacked the most.
All kidding aside, If you have not tried the products from Sharp Shoot R accelerator, wipe out patch out, and tactical advantage then maybe you're missing out. I've loved Sweets, CR10, and Butches Bore shine but the Sharp Shoot R line is by far the most amazing stuff I've used on a bore thus far. You can clean with anything else and go back with Sharp Shoot R and be amazed at how much fouling you can remove still.
I've used everything from CLP, brake cleaner, to shooters lube and their line. Shooters lube has done well for on AR maintenance. I've used a myriad of stuff for bolt guns and carbon rings. The stuff you used recently to clean your suppressor has me interested for cleaning BCG's.
Every firearm I own shoots the most accurate with a different cleaning regiment than any of the other firearms I have. You have to figure that stuff out by Shooting them and collecting data however, all of the lead launchers I have work better when they are properly cleaned and maintained and then shot with however many fouling rounds each one likes until it gets dirty and the processes starts all over.
I'm somewhere in the middle on this lol I'm much more annoyed by people who clean their guns more than they shoot them. I grew up around some boomer types that treated everything like it was made of porcelain. Maintenance schedule is great, but I'd rather be around people who shoot their shit more than they clean it vs people who shoot a sight in group then spend hours cleaning it.😂
Every 100-200 rounds that blaster is getting a cleaning. Rifle. Pistol. 9mm suppressor. Whatever. It’s getting cleaned up. If it has been in the safe for a while, wipe it down and oil it up before range trip just to make sure the oil hasnt ran off or evaporated and it’s good to go.
Question, on the Valkyrie videos you were testing to see if it likes a dirty barrel or a clean barrel. If your gun likes a dirty barrel how often should you clean the barrel?
“It’s not cool to not clean your firearm” sounds like a boomer tellin me not to do drugs. Unfortunately I get drug tested for work and clean my guns regularly #raisedbyaboomer
I agree with your thinking, keep it clean , less chance of failure, especially when you really need it to work. My ar is always clean when going out.

That means you got at least 1 thing right!

@@SongDog_TV I’ve noticed that myself. Also the most cringe firearms known to man are in yt reels.

Brake clean and CLP is about all I’ve ever used to be completely honest 🤣
I use clp wipes from real avid on bcg’s. Works fantastic, but I clean mine often so it’s way easier to clean anyway.
@@txpredatorhunting I hadn’t even seen the wipes yet, I’ll check em out

Great question, let the platform tell you by keeping up with data .
Tell us about the gun in picture in the beginning

Dirty ar’s are bad mmmkay.
You're probably not listening to this cause you're a boomer. Hahaha
That wasn’t very fair, we have a few who watch. Lol
