It's called positive reinforcement. All boxing is muscle memory. That's why a true fighter never forgets how to do it. They loose speed and agility but it's all stored in the body and brain. They don't so much act as react
@@matthew-jy5jp for real. boxing being limited to only punching makes the training very repetitive, it's good though your hands become real weapons, not like mma or muay thai where there's more stuff to learn. I switched from boxing to kickboxing and easily made progress because most combos are set up off punches. it's like cutting half the time off learning kickboxing, and I had finer details from boxing for so long, better jab and parrys, better distance and footwork. Its weird but boxing is like riding a bike, once your good at it you never ever forget it
