    Floyd is surprisingly good at being patient, teaching and uplifting fighters. Usually athletes who are really great don't always verbalize why, or how they do things in the best fashion. However, Floyd does an excellent job with that. You can tell he truly cares. I think he will be just as successful training fighters as he did fighting if he chooses to do so, permanently. This really symbolizes the student becoming the teacher. Well done!

      Tank should be taking advantage of all opportunities to learn. Devin is being wise beyond his years. To tank if you read this : " No one expects you to abandon those you started your journey with. Just be great. Put your emotions aside.. and realize what is in front of you. Training with an adversary ( Devin )doesn't mean you will lose anything..in fact there is much to be gained if you decide to do so. Being trained by arguably one of.. if not THE greatest boxer's of all time... is a once in a lifetime opportunity. Don't grow old... and become bitter after letting your emotions over power your intelligence. To live and die with regret... is no way to be. "

    It's crazy how in interviews when asked about his strategy against particular opponent, he's very vague and usually gives the "hard work dedication, prayers and belief" response. But when actually training he's very specific and scientific.

      @daimonmarioperez9501 4 года назад +2

      Floyd knows you can't give your opponent the keys to beating you.. Floyd has always dictated his fights. Always adjusting figuring out his opponents. Then going to work. Who said Floyd wouldn't make a good trainer 🤫. If that boxer is willing to put in the work, and listen to what Floyd is showing him or her. That boxer can only learn from one of the best that has ever done it....

    • @urivan9613
      @urivan9613 4 года назад +7

      Everything you see in this video is about boxing technique. They work endlessly on perfecting the basics. It's no so much about strategy... Floyd obviously knows the fighter he's facing but at the end of the day it's all about being the best. I don't recall Floyd employing a clear strategy for a specific opponent... I mean, he usually uses a high guard against southpaws instead of the philly shell but except for that it's mostly him adjusting to the different circumstantes of the fight.

    • @James_Edward59
      @James_Edward59 3 года назад +1

      Uriel Zinn Floyd always said he never watched footage of his opponents and IMO everything Floyd did was they key to success, he was always a natural in his division so he wasn’t always bulking and cutting and he didn’t watch much footage because he learned how to read them in the ring and not expect anything from watching videos. The problem with studying footage is you start making plans but once you get in the ring all those plans change and Floyd knew that from such a young age so he learned to read his opponents and adjust on the fly without a game plan which is why he always said there’s no blueprint to beating him because he was constantly adjusting. He also did the exact opposite of everyone when it came to promoting his fights, yea he talked and flaunted a lot to build the hype of his fights up however all his opponents were posting videos of them training hard and this and that and Floyd was such a genius outside of the ring as well that he would do the opposite, he would show him spending money and relaxing and living the life to get in their heads but he did that because he knew he was actually working harder than all of his opponents, he just didn’t show the footage to promote his fights while he was in training camp.

    Floyd most definitely respects anyone who puts in work at the doghouse, however, I sense the real reason behind showcasing and putting all of this footage out there is for Floyd's own personal agenda. He wants credits for the next generation's success and he's placed his bets on both Tank and Haney.

    He’s training his instinct when it comes to defense instead of choreographing. Very smart 💯

    I honestly wasn’t a huge fan of Devin but seeing these interactions with Floyd jr and him lately I’m really liking what I’m seeing. Devin has a humble approach and Floyd passing on what he knows. Can’t hate. Each one teach one

    Nobody can possibly hate on this video. The young man in there working. Tank don’t want it. The student always makes himself available to the master. Always.
