Complete Reassembly | Jeep CJ7 Build Part 14

- Here comes the part we've all been waiting for....reassembly! In this video the jeep transforms from a rolling shell into an almost complete running car. We install our custom roll bar, side steps, and rear bumper first. Then we install the engine in the Jeep...the Chevrolet Performance 333 hp 350 H. O. turnkey motor, which should really make this thing into a total beast. After installing the motor, we have to fabricate custom clutch linkage as well as modify the brakes for our power brake master cylinder install. Then, we install brand new fuel and brake lines as well as a brand new painless wiring harness for the CJ. We then rebuild the rear drum brakes as well as the front disk brakes and the locking hubs. Finally we are able to start up the Jeep and hear that v8 roar for the first time after making an exhaust system.
Thanks for watching and stay tuned for weekly uploads for the next part of this build where we completely wrap this build up and dial in all of the loose ends and take it for its first test drive!

It's nice to see some young men doing some nice work!
The last Jeep I had was a 1980 CJ7 with a 8 cylinder motor a 304. I took that out and replaced it with a fresh rebuilt 360 V8. It ran great after that.
Most kids can’t afford to have cars worked on, so having initiative saves more money for mods. :)
Your Build Break Repeat - Jeep CJ7 Build series is a great confidence booster --thanks for being so thorough!
ill give you props for getting that booster to fit without the booster bracket......but i also hate to break it to you that it would have been a simple bolt in install if you used the brake booster bracket that goes between the booster and the firewall
You may not be perfectionists, but you guys are very talented. My 17 year old can’t check the oil dip stick. Good job keep up the good work!!
I know im randomly asking but does anyone know of a method to log back into an Instagram account..?
I was stupid forgot my account password. I would love any tips you can offer me!
@Makai Stanley instablaster :)
@Cairo Gibson thanks so much for your reply. I found the site on google and I'm trying it out atm.
Looks like it's gonna take a while so I will get back to you later when my account password hopefully is recovered.
@Cairo Gibson It did the trick and I finally got access to my account again. I am so happy:D
Thank you so much, you really help me out !
@Makai Stanley No problem xD
Good job boys, I have 84 CJ7 i been playing around for years now.
Great job guys. I'm in the market for a cj5 now. It's not so common to find young guys who will even attempt to rebuild a vehicle. My first was a 65' mustang. With my Dad's help I learned a lot. Keep it up! I can't wait to see it completed.
Aikidoman06 Thanks, you won't be disappointed with a cj.
I have had two in the past. A Golden Eagle (403) and Renegade (304). No real rebuilds, just some odds and ends.
I work in a VoTech school and I just don't seek guys turning wrenches and welding anymore. They come to us with no experience. You guys have skills! Stay busy!
Aikidoman06 Thanks man, that's awesome!
Wow open the transfer case and put it back ... Great job
About to start putting my CJ together and this video makes me more and more impatient😂
Nice job guys. It's lots of fun building and trouble shooting problems. Thumbs up
I am rebuilding a 1978 cj7. Proud if you guys. I know how it feels.
Grab yourself some sealed beam turn signals for the front, it will save you time and money in the long run. They make them that fit in the factory holes without modification, and when smacked by a stick or other object off-road or a tow strap that breaks, they pop through the hole rather than break. They also look great.

I watch all this from part 1. I will build my own when i get back to philippines. I already contacted the willys production from phil. And they give me nice quotation for the body kit of cj7.
Imperfections make it unique .
Nice work guys 💪💪💪👍🏻
You got some skills for a guy your age!
love the color
There's a secret about installing a fuel pump. There's a bolt in the block under the alternator. Before you remove the fuel pump. Remove the bolt in the block and put a longer bolt in. Replace fuel pump, and put the original bolt back into the block.
Girl mechanics rock!
$50 go kart ep 2? love the vids guys keep it going.
Jackson Wheel It's in the works, we have it apart right now so it should be out in a couple of weeks, thanks for watching!
if its apart here is an idea make it a dually, just a thought. thanks for replying
Great job dudes
She's a runner!!!
nice work, impressive.
You guys should look into powder coating. It's great for brackets, pullies, and misc parts. Very durable when done well.
Great job guys keep it up!!!!!!!!!!!
Did the jeep come with AC or did you add it on? If you added it what model jeep did you pull it from? I have a cj5 in Alabama and AC would be nice in the summer around here.
Great video series!
great job guys! where did you find your factory parts from? I just bought a 1980 cj7 I'm looking to rebuild thanks
Did you keep the stock axles in that AMC20 rear end? 1-piece axles should be on your wishlist if you're gonna be off-roading.
Looking great so far, can't wait to see her drive.
brnd72 Yeah the axles are stock right now, It'll definitely be on the list to build them both though in the future. Thanks for watching.
I have moderate mechanic knowledge. I have been wondering is there any books or ways to learn everything needed for a rebuild?
Y'all guys did great by the way
What size wheels are those? Offset? Backspacing?
You've earned my sub!
nice rig
Make sure to break the cam in 2000 rpm for 30 min. As soon as starts !!!!!!!!!!
Larry Alexander Yeah that was the first thing we did after setting the timing, thanks for watching.
The Jeep CJ7 is not a car, It's a quarter ton truck. It's like nails on a chalkboard to heat that. She looks amazing though.
What installation kit did you guys use for the grant steering wheel?
Also make sure to run correct oil for flat tappet cam
Where did you get the gauge clusters
How much have you spent in total so far to restore your cj I'm just wondering because I'm in the process of restoring one myself.
They havent replied, cuz dad payed for it all.No hate,is what it is.That jeep is a 20 G jeep, everything looks new
I wouldn’t say 20000 they did it all in a budget
Hey atleast their learning
Well then I saw the motor so my estimate goes up
Great job! Where did you find the mechanical oil gauge? Been looking, no luck. Thanks!
1pokras Found it at autozone, it's just a cheap equus gauge, I would get one a little more expensive because it already broke on us.
Thanks! Your Jeep looks great. I'm restoring an '82 CJ7, not quite as comprehensive a rebuild as yours, but I have my hands full. Keep up the great work
how did you connect your ignition system to the ididit steering column?
Where did you get you wiring harness?
Did you teach yourself to weld and if you did is it hard to learn
Muy interesante observar como restauran los Jeep, soy de Panamá y tengo un Jeep cj7 de 1968, algunos del grupo me puede ayudar dándome direcciones donde pueda comprar todo lo relacionado en carrosería, muchas gracias por su atención..
Where did you guys get the master cylinder, radiator, fan shroud, and fan from? Thanks.
Colt Meagher We got the master cylinder from sunny racing, I would make sure you get a more expensive one that’s not rebuilt because we went through 2 of them before we decided to get a good one. We got the radiator from northern auto parts (came with the headers). And then the fan came from Novak it’s like the biggest one they have and we couldn’t use any of there fan shrouds because it wouldn’t fit so we got a super low profile shroud from eBay.
Nice build. What brand and part number headers are those?
Keith Clevenger 69640 at northern auto parts.
Thanks . in the process of rebuilding my 85 CJ7 . I like the primary tubes on those but I need a 1-3/4 on them
Where did you get the engine mounts? Nice jeep by the way
Sasha Thorp Novak, we bought all of our conversion parts from them and it’s great.
Nice Cj. It reminds me of the work I've done to mine. Of course it's not as pretty as yours but I can relate to all the work you did. Believe me, I know how good it feels when the engine first fires up.
You guys are sure knowledgeable on working with vehicles, where did you learn how to do evening?
Anyway good job and keep the videos coming.
Cj7 and other Jeeps Thanks, yeah we learned mostly from the internet and honestly just from experience as you can tell haha.
Did you put l.e.d. headlights in?
Kenneth Hudson Nah...budget didn't really allow for it lol, would be a nice upgrade in the future though.
Flat finders would have made it pop
Buenas q motor le montaron
I know you didn't care to much about the body job but just a long block sander and couple other small details and you would have been 80% better with not much more work than you did good work men
Ola tou presizando um par. Lanterna lateral. Pisca. paralama dianteira jeep cj7 tem como mim aruma um. Telefone da loja que vender.
Too Bad! Not AMC Engine!
I'm restoring my 1981 cj5 and was wondering how you afford all of the stuff for it and how much it costed you to get that paint job?
Supremeleadrrr I'm super lucky that my parents are funding a lot of the stuff but they're ok with it as long as I'm doing all the work lol. But the paint job was like $500, thanks for watching.
the average restoration would cost you about a little under 10000 if you did it all by your self
