We're Chris W. Smith and Jack De Sena (aka Chris & Jack). We've been friends for years and love making high-quality, high-concept sketch comedy. Chris was a Blue Man in Blue Man Group. Jack voiced Sokka in Avatar the Last Airbender. In 2016 we united to create this channel, confusingly titled “Chris & Jack”, which has served as a shared platform to write, produce, direct, edit, and star in our own stuff. Also, we were also ghosts the whole time you were reading this. Supernatural twist!

Fun Fact: hypnosis can only make people do things they are willing to do, which means that in that moment the "surgeon" was willing to stab his friend.
I know this comment is like 5 years old but apparently that's not true? (Someone was talking about how hypnosis was being used in an ab usive relationship they were a victim of)

@@jaguarr314 Yeah, that's the scary thing about the power of suggestion, at it's most potent you can actually get people to ignore their normal inhibitions, it's why brainwashing through conditioning is very potent. We like to think of these things as "purely fictional," but there really are ways to do some pretty scary stuff with such techniques. That all being said, in the course of typical show there's not enough time to do such things, but in this case the op is still wrong, as you brought up, since he was only willing to "stab" his friend because the hypnosis convinced him it would be the path to saving his friends life.
@@homerman76 Hypnosis only works on participants who believe in it. If you want to influence an unwilling subject, they can't be aware of what you're doing.
@@jaguarr314 That's called Manipulation. Hypnosis is a pseudoscience. manipulators are scary people as they know how to get you to do things you don't want to do and convince you that you want to do it, but it is by no means done through the use of Magic Hypnosis.
