Being somewhat of a videographer myself, it is super impressive how the dialog felt so smooth despite there being obvious constant transitions. I can't imagine how long it actually took to shoot this video in total.

soon after, the guy in the blue hoodie is wearing rings all over his fingers he wasnt wearing before
then chris is holding a different pizza in his left hand and it has bites taken out of it.
and, the guy in plaid is holding the water again after previously setting it down

and suddenly, the water is on the couch behind the guy in plaid
plus, the guy in the blue hoodie has more rings on his fingers than before and chris is holding a remote in his left hand instead of pizza
then there is a phone on the table, next to the remote the chris was holdin in his hand earlier, and the guy in plaid is holding a soda in a plastic cup and the water is off the couch
and then chris is holding a shit ton of pizza, even one in his mouth, and a security cam is on the shelf behind him, along with the flowers on the table, they have switched places.
then the phone is gone off the table and the guy in plaid is holding water again in two hands, and chris is holding a flower, while a pizza is in the vase behind him.
next the guy in plaid is holding the water in one hand, and the guy in blue is wearing different rings, and chris is holding two pizzas in his hand and the pizza is out of the vase
then, the plant from the bakground is right next to chris and the guy in blue is wearing a completely diff. outfit, and while chris is talking, the two people he is supposed to be talking to are behind him interacting w eachother and adding a flower? and the cam is gone off the shelf.
and, the plant is moved, slightly back, then the water is back on the tabl again, chris' hairstyle changed, and the remote is gone off the table and now standing up on the table by the second vase.
then the guy in plaid is holding the water again and has two extra empty glasses on his knees and the remote is off the kitchen table and on the living room table, a phone is also there again.
and the guy in blue isnt wearing a hat as before, and the guy in plaid isnt holding water anymore, its back on the table, and the two extra empty glasses are gone hes also not sitting criss cross anymore.
then the guy in blue suddenly isnt wet after having water thrown on him and the guy who threw the water has a full glass after throwing it all out.
and now, the cam is on the table next to the guy in blue, and chris is wearing a diff, shirt, while the vases in the background are switched back to their former spots.
also chris looks beaten up?
then, there are two metal poles on the right side of the couch, the guy in plaid is holding something he wasnt holding before, hes sitting on one of the yellow pillows, there are three glasses on the table that weren't there before, the phone s gone from the table, and the guy that WAS in blue has another totally difff. outfit on, and a lil chris and Jack vid is in the corner.
and a black sheet thing is behind the guy who switched outfits.
now there's water bottles on the kitchen table behind Chris and a mic is dipping down.
and the dude switched outfits yet again, the cam is gone, and the guy in plaid isnt the same guy lol and the yellow pilllow is normal again.
then the guy switches outfits again, and then the guy in plaid is himself again and hes sitting on the yellow pillow again and the thing he was holdin earlier is on the couch behind him.
next, there's only one water bottle on the table behind chris.
then the guy in the plaid has his water jar on the table in front of him again, and the phone and remote are back on the table as well.
now the outfits guy has no shirt on only a hat and bottoms
and it looks liike theres an orange nickelodeon toy blimp on the shelf behind chris or something orange
then the guy in plaid is clean shaven lmao and the phone and remote are gone off the table, and the pillows are in a diff. order.
then the shirtless guy has clothes on again and is wet, next hes shirtless again w the hat, and the orange thing is gone off the shelf, then the guy in plaid has facial hair again, the phone and remote are back on the table, and three glasses are now stacked on th table in front of him.
then dude swtched outfits again, chris is upside down in his chair, and the guy in plaid is at the bottom of the screen (in a grey shirt) moving a mannequin, and the three glasses arent stacked anymore.
then the guy switched outfits again and the black sheet thing that was behind him is gone.
chris is now sitting normally, and they turn to hand puppets/ one sock puppet on chris' chair and the security cam is on the little desk behind where chris was sitting.
then the guy in plaid is sitting back down and he is setting a jar on the table.
the guy switches outfits again, and hair, and the cam is gone from behind chris.
the phone is off the table, and the cam is now on a diff. shelf behind chris.
the cam is gone off the shelf behind chris now, and the guys wig is back on after he just took it off
then, the cam is back behind chris, and the guy in plaid is a whole diff. person, and wearing headphones and the soda cup is in front of him on the table.
and when he stands up, hes the same guy again, and the sodA Cup is gone. when the other dude stands up, hes wearing another diff. outfit, and the cam is on the couch behind him.
then when they are all standing, the pizza is back in the box after being gone for a while
and then the water bottle moved, then the cam is on a diff. spot on the shelf where it was last seen on the couch.
Honestly, I'm proud of you for writing all that down. go you.

Stolen is a strong word. The idea of intentional continuity errors isn't really something new. Maybe it's not employed often, but it has been used for instance in Mel Brooks films and in one of Marx Brothers' - "Duck soup" released in 1933. And aren't films a bit about playing with the same ideas in different ways?

Honestly as an editor like myself this video nails on point what being an editor is. People worry so much about continuity errors but the truth they don’t matter in the effect when you ignore them to have the best story and performance. And the fact this video has zero continuity but yet we feel the emotion and story is pure genius. You learn more on this then film school.

1. the gun from the butthole cops clip
2. 0:37 the zipper is down. it was up before (and at 0:30 i finished the list and i just noticed this. i'm not renumbering)
3. 0:38 the zipper is back up
4. 0:39 the zipper is back down
5. 0:42 the clip is playing again (not sure if he just pressed replay, but i don't think so)
6. 0:46 i think his zipper is higher than before
7. 0:48 he's sitting down again even though he already sat down. and this time he's setting the glass back down. before, he was picking the glass up

I might've missed some, but i REALLY hope i didn't. this took hours and so many replays. TT_TT and i hope the changed scene between the butthole cops clips and the absence of the toy gun don't count. most of these continuity errors are counted as all the changes between entire frames. if i listed each one individually, there would be way more than 90.

I am currently on a coffee break from editing some videos I’ve produced and filmed myself. I’m pretty new at it but am really getting a true understanding of what it takes to do all this. So, not only was I deeply impressed by all the incredible continuity consistency through the narrative where each camera angle easily had 70+ variations in each shot, but I was cackling so gotdang hard the entire time because of the absolute brilliance of an idea so silly. Absolutely excellent job!

When I first started watching the video I thought that it was gonna copy Jackfilm's video but this is original content. He may have taken inspiration from others (or idk it may have been a coincidence) but he made it absolutely his own by adding his own style and ideas to it. This takes effort and I'm really happy to see that. Buzzfeed could of been like this but they never rlly took the time to make original content cuz it doesn't fit in their schedule. They want to make so much content that they end up not making anything original (or even good) and it shows. I'm so happy he quit cuz now he can rlly show his potential and take time to make amazing videos :)
