I loved how the producer stepped in. It was clear that the interviewer was a bit nervous and that’s ok! It’s good to respect boundaries and the producer was clearly very excited to meet the skink. It was nice to see some genuine enthusiasm / natural interaction on camera.

Ed and Emily are the best and they help so many people get over their fear of snakes/reptiles (me included) through education and honestly it is kind of hard to fear something when someone goes "Aww look at the tiny tongue flicks!" and just coos over how cute they are.
Nice how your crew jumped in. People should see how Ed and Emily respect boundaries and let each person interact at their own comfort level. No one should ever feel forced to interact before they are ready.
Everyone should do a birthday party with Snake Discovery. I had at least as much fun as the kids and other parents who came said it was a blast. I even got a great pic of my niece trying to hold Doug with help from staff (she was tiny)

here in australia, we call blue tongue skinks blue tongue lizards, blueys, or just blue tongues. its so strange hearing skink on the end of it
