    A very lovely visit. Vertigo, ghostly breezes and small tourists, the views were spectacular, thank you brave Kit.

      And thank you, my friend. Vertigo and weird wafts are fine by me, but tiny tourists terrify! But oh, yes, the views were amazing! Thanks for watching. 😘 x

    Lovely day out at the castle. I love castles and history, I'm by no means a history buff but I appreciate our long history and it's amazing how many castles we still have standing today. Big shout out to the castle builders of old!!
    Props to you for moutaineering the climb up the stairs, I would have struggled with that too. Coming down would have been dizzying!
    Another great vlog!! Until the next one :)

      Cheers, mate. Glad you enjoyed it. 😊 I seem to find castles more interesting as I get older, and become ever more ancient and historical myself! lol. Yeah, they knew how to build things to last back then.
      I ached like fuck the next day! Those stairs were a killer - and I'm basically carrying the weight of another whole person up and down them, so yeah, plenty of exercise that day! 😁
      See you next time. 😘x

    A very cool castle! It's so fun to imagine the rooms furnished, and what the people would be doing and thinking. History coming to life, and not just one dimensional. It's been said you have no future if you keep putting the past in front of you, but I counter by saying studying history distracts us from the painful presenr, and teaches useful lessons of how not to repeat past mistakes. Rest up Kit...and thanks!💕😘

      Thanks, Barbara. 💕 Yes, I really enjoyed this one. Very exciting to imagine the residents of a castle hundreds or even thousands of years ago, and to see and touch the things that they routinely interacted with. I totally disagree about having no future if you look into the past. That sounds like someone just trying to be clever with their words and issuing an erroneous and banal piece of horseshit. You are right. Studying the past helps shape a better future. 👍 Plus, it's fun, interesting, and exciting! 😁 When I was in Egypt, I put my thumb in the thumbprint of an artisan who had been plastering the walls of King Tut's tomb! Thousands of years of history linked by two thumbs. Exciting doesn't even come close! 😁😁😁 Thanks for watching. 💕😘x

    I have driven past signs to Bolsover Castle so often driving north but never visited so you have satisfied my curiosity. I can't believe how empty it was when you weren't being accosted by small children.

      Well, I'm glad I was able to show you one you haven't been to, but now I'm worried I may not have shown enough. There's so much more of it that I missed out. Oh, well, no doubt I'll be back. 😊 It wasn't that empty. I just avoided the crowds until they dispersed, and chose my angles carefully. One reason I was (seemingly) unreasonably irritated by the noisy tourists was that I had to work so hard to make it feel empty. 😉 Thanks for watching. 😘x

    "castily castles" 😂. Haha King Kong gates. The place is beautiful! Yay for getting onto the battlements and that it's a nicer castily castle now that you've seen them 🤣. Oh yes I stay away from strangers too. Oh ugh I hate the noise tourists make, they can be so noisy. Stairs make me feel (even) more exhausted too. The castle is beautiful outside and inside! Haha getting scared from suddenly seeing a mirror. Ah the privy! Haha. I like the fireplaces. That is a beautiful central feature! Oh wow you got quite high up indeed!! Nice paintings. Oh yes the unexpected things some kids do unnerve me too. You did a lot on this day (with the stuff from the other video being earlier this day)! That would exhaust me too. Haha Censored 😂. Great video again 😘 x!

      Ah, Gaia, thank you so much. 💕 Yes, it's a lovely castle, and I'm so glad you liked it. I knew you'd understand about the noise and the tourists and the unnerving children. People like you and me are much happier with quiet and stillness. But my need for adventure pushes me to go (slightly) outside my comfort zones - although having a safe space (home on wheels) nearby certainly makes that easier! 😉😁 Oh, yes, that was a busy day alright. I was very proud of myself that evening, but the next day I could hardly move due to muscle stiffness. Still, it was worth it. See you next time. 🥰💕😘x

    You are such a good natural presenter! With content consistently as good as this, you could be running your own documentary series on any big tv channel. Adventurous, informative, and masterfully put together. Everything looks and sounds professional.
    Did you try the toilet? 😄
    Screaming kids are a pain 🤯

      Thank you, Jere. 😘 You know, I never - NEVER - saw myself presenting, or doing anything in front of a camera or audience. Being from a showbiz family, people always assumed I'd want to, but I never did. I was always much happier being hidden away in the dark, working behind the scenes. So no one is more surprised than me to discover that I'm actually very comfortable in front of the camera, and that comfort seems to come across. I'm really pleased that you like my content. Thank you. And no, I didn't poop in the castle. That would be rude! LOL. 💕🥰😘x

    That's an awesome castle. It's a weird feeling standing in a room like "....this is someone's bedroom!". I love visiting castles but I have a proper fear of spiral staircases 🤣 I'm okay when I get to the top/bottom but climb or descending them is not a fun experience, I always feel sorry for those stuck behind me haha

    • @kitsworld
      @kitsworld  2 года назад

      Oh, Debbi, I love imagining the people who used the bedrooms in the past. All the illicit trysts and aristocratic nookie - marvellous. As for the spiral stairs, my only fear is the natural terror of anything resembling exercise! Lol. Thanks for watching. 😘x

    Hi Kit!! Wow, I've never been to a castle, that's so cool that you've experienced several!! Such a sublime castley castle! Ooh and there's art on the walls!!! It looks like they could use some restoration, though, or at least a cleaning! Those poor paintings are so covered in dirt we can barely see them 🥺 (I'm an art history buff if you didn't know) What was the functional purpose of that tiny little alcove you got trapped in? I relate to wanting to squeeze inside and check it out, but inside it's just a small circle? Was it built to be a place to eavesdrop from like Polonius? LOL @ the mirror! Ohh your bathroom theory makes sense. Oh my gosh, so many stairs! Props to you for climbing so high!!

    • @kitsworld
      @kitsworld  2 года назад +1

      Wow, thanks, Kevvie. So lovely to see you! 🥰💕🤗 Yes, the whole place could use some TLC, but it's one of the younger and less needy of our hundreds of castles - some of them are over a thousand years old - so I guess the limited funds are distributed where most needed. Yes, I'm sticking to the bathroom theory for now. It seems to make sense. Or they may possibly have been simply closets for clothes or brooms or something. But I guess if I lived in one of those rooms that alcove is where I'd stash my shit bucket. 💩😁🧻👍 And, yes, I got more exercise that day than the previous couple of months! lol 😘x

    🤔Hey buddy I saw a post of yours on Reddit. You were looking for ways to build your channel subs. I saw it was a 4 year old post and you’re also like me on RUclips and haven’t been posting for a while and I think you said you were stuck at 13 subscribers so you have progressed some but you’re not taking advantage of the easiest tool there is and it’s free?
    I had my RUclips account for years just to store old band videos for free and when I quit playing gigs a few years ago I only had about a hundred followers?
    I thought about it and figured more people would be interested in learning to play instead of just watching me play perhaps? I thought that’d be a good hobby and an excuse to still play some in my retirement?
    When I started the lessons they slowly built 10 or 20 new subs a month but when I started making the little shorts out of my longer videos and some shorts from scratch I started getting over 200 and even over 300 a couple months! Even a bad month was 80 or 90 but that’s when I didn’t post much!
    Unfortunately I got on some medicine though that made my hands swell up and that plus other stuff got me depressed a bit as well and it’s been almost a year and a half since I’ve played but I intend to start back again this year.
    I’m looking into changing doctors it’s just tedious because my Medicare is an advantage plan so I have to pick from their network and I’ve been procrastinating.
    I really need to start back though, it was exciting when the subs started coming steadily but when I quit playing it sort of slowed down and only been around 1900 the last year. I have so many songs fortunately that keeps them busy for a while learning those after they learn their chords in step #1 but I need to start back adding are they may all graduate and leave me?😢
    Anyhow, you were asking on Reddit about getting new followers so I just thought I’d reach out to you and share that about those little short videos!
    You can literally make them from existing videos and save them as private until you get the hang of it. My subs jumped like a rocket compared to the time before I started making the shorts videos. When you make your first one the icon will appear even if you only have private ones so far.
    Just find an interesting 60 second clip or so from any video you already posted in your channel and make a clip any length up to that minute!
    Just search how to make shorts in RUclips and there’ll be a million videos.
    You don’t need any equipment and can do it right now from any video you’ve already posted to your channel, just save them as private at the end until you get the hang of it!🙂
    I always made them on my cell phone, I suppose a laptop or desktop will work but I’ve never done it except on my cell phone? I hope you’re doing well and there’s not any bad reasons you haven’t been posting?
    Anyhow, sorry about talking your ear off. 🦻 If you’re ever interested in any of that stuff just hit me up, if I know the answer I’ll certainly share it plus I’m retired and also have a broken foot right now so I’m not to busy, lol!😂
