Hi Bill I have only just seen this so sorry for not replying sooner. I must have notifications turned off. The wind on the Aegean is generally stronger than the Ionian but we found it more consistent and like the whole of Greece it becomes stronger in the afternoon. We only had one night where the wind would have been over 30knts in the anchorage we were planning to go to so we diverted. The biggest issue is some of the islands are uninhabited so have no cell coverage and therefor weather reports will go out of date quickly if you don't find civilisation. We are not the most experienced sailors and Sam likes the gentle down wind stuff but we had no issues. On the plus side its is not as popular as the Ionian (no idea why) so you should generally get an anchorage or harbour spot when you need one Hope this helps and i wish you fair winds on your next adventure. Now off to find that notification button :-)
