I have a Nike Vapor Pro 2, but then I bought the Court Lite 3 as a second pair. Now those are the shoes I take to court every time. Feels pretty good, light, comfortable... The first time I wore them, I did not stop any second to think about my feet. It felt great from the start. And when I switch back to the Vapor Pro 2, it feels too bulky, and a little "shallow" for my feet. For 60 bucks, they're great for anyone who are still on running shoes.
I try to save money on shoes where possible, but I've realised that tennis is really tough on the feet and legs. Cheap shoes can be a false economy. Cushioning tends to be a lot better on more expensive models, so I try to get them on sale.
Always happy to see a new shoe video. I played in Nike Air Zoom Vapor Pro for the last year and a half. The mesh part of that shoe was flimsy. Didn't like it very much. Now I switched to Mizuno Wave Exceed 5. The mesh part is reinforced with polyurethane top and the cushoning is much better while still retaining the lightness. 😊
So I just started playing seriously again after many many years. I used to love Nike Wimbledons back in the day (McEnroe shoe). Same white with blue. Anyway picked up the Court Lite, wanted something cheap. To my surprise, the shoes performed great! Gonna stick with these for now. Thanks for confirming!
I literally have those exact court lite 3 in that colorway and loved those shoes. The tread has finally worn out and I just bought the exact vapor pro 9.5 you're wearing lol Excited to feel the difference
I actually bought the court lite for low cut and retro style…for basketball. I play regular full court and these are surprisingly good. I like the wide front. I use anklets and the back doesnt chafe too. Wished they had more interesting colorways.
Just bought regular 9.5 yesterday. I was thinking about leather once but I'm too greedy to spend 200 eur :D Once I had regular 9.5 they are cool but cloth part at nose died pretty quickly. Maybe I did wrong and leather eventually would be more cost-effective
Now that summer is here I'm going to be playing badmitton and pickelball outdoors. Had the chance to try on a pair of Nike Court's today, they are the first tennis shoes I've ever tried and they're pretty comfortable, I hope they'll do the trick! Great review 👍
Zoom court lite 3 are pretty good shoes. They are comfortable and stylist but I feel like the outsole pattern limits my movements and the front part doesn’t have anything to cover so I wear them off in just 6 hours of play. This is more like a casual shoes for tennis players.
The Vapor 9.5 are very comfortable, but the outsole´s durability is the worst of all the tennis shoes I´ve had. I would use the leather model for clay courts (the mesh of the traditional 9.5 got quickly damaged by the clay). IMHO, these are not shoes for hard courts.
My zoom lite had a hole at the outside toe part after like 6 hours of intense playing. Terrible durability but they are cheap. If you play at a high level it will wear out very quickly
My last few pairs of Nikes have come apart at the seams during matches. My opponent told me to stop wearing Nikes as he had the same issue with shoes splitting at the seams or soles coming off. They don’t build them like they use to.
That is a really great review!!! I am really happy that you are trying to show people that tennis is more accessible than what people think! And also mark the difference between Advance/Pro and Beginners/Intermediate tiers One think that I always wonder is if there is any difference on endurance between both.... how many hours will they last?
Generally: “The higher the level of play, the quicker the shoes wear out regardless of brand and model.” (some differences there based on model and style of movement)
Give Asics Gel Resolution a try, there is no competition at all. There’s a reason why Swiatek stuck with Asics for a while even though she was sponsored by ON.
Good video Nik! I also really love Zoom Vapor 9.5's. Out of curiosity, how long do you usually wear yours? I try to extend the life of mine by rotating different shoes, but the outsole burns away very quickly (for me, I'd say sooner than the "6 month outsole guarantee" because I start and stop pretty aggressively and I usually only play on outdoor hardcourt surfaces).
I do wear clothes of Nike all the time when I am on the court as I generally love its style and the basic image and role of it in political terms like promoting for black athletes, etc. Plus I was very happy with many tennis shoes since the 90s until like 2020. The last great pairs were Nike Zoom Vapor X. Bought in 2020 and only used for indoor tennis with all court sole, they're still great in 2023. As they weren't available anymore and I needed another pair of tennis shoes, I switched to cheaper Nike Wilcard which were a pure disapppointment regarding comfort and everything (except for style). I then got myself some Nike Zoom Vapor Cage 4. They were more comfortable, but stability was mediocre and durability was a joke. All these bad impressions made me lose trust in Nike tennis shoes. I've watched Nik's vid about the Jordan tennis shoes and these Vapor 9.5 seem to be great again, but both are on the elite price level as well. So it seems quite interesting to watch these guys like the cheap shoes. If there is a more swaggy color way, I might give them a chance.

Not surprised. I play in Nike Court Lite 3s. I have three pairs and rotate them. Just fine at my 3.5 level. Really good review. Thank you.
🔥

yeah u right, wrong shoes can destroy everything
Adidas Barricade are the best, cushioning and durability.
April 2024 I wear a size 15 and they have those exact Vapor 9.5 tour LTR for $72 brand new! Save 108 dollars! Yeah!!
Maybe I should buy all they have left, do you still use this shoe? 👟

ASICS cushioning is top notch. i do miss the old zoom vapors. they were really comfy but they never lasted
Glad finally saw a video on shoes 🎉
💯

I love your non-stop commentary it cracks me up - and yes shoes do have to be attractive I will not stop on court with a stupid looking shoe
💯
I have been wearing artengo tennis shoes for more than 6 years and I like them much more than nike, adidas or asics.
Great comparisons 👍
🙌🔥

How is the durability?
I own a pair of those court lite for casual wearing. Love them kicks and will buy again. Thing is, they last and are super comfy.
Do you round 57.97$ to 57$!? Now I understand how companies can easily get reach in the USA 😂
It's not rounding really, but dropping the digits after the decimal. It's what companies want customers to do
If you don’t have a dollar just say that
I love my ubersonic 4, but they wear out so fast

Brave man trading shoes with Milan, who doesn’t even wear any socks. 😂
He wears low socks
Very beautiful design ❤️
🙌

Great video! 😀😀
Thank you Hans
Since you're always playing on hard courts, would you also recommend the 9.5 for clay?
Yes
❤❤❤ Can't wait to spend $57 on my next pair, thanks for introducing me to Nike tennis shoes
My last few pairs of Nikes have come apart at the seams during matches. My opponent told me to stop wearing Nikes as he had the same issue with shoes splitting at the seams or soles coming off. They don’t build them like they use to.
Just say no to Nike tennis shoes!
i wore zoom lites all summer. zero complaints. rather have 2 pairs of the cheapos
That is a really great review!!!

how is the heat dissipation and sweating in the full leather shoes? and also in the cheaper (plastic 'leather'?) zoom lite 3?
It’s normal
The $57 pair will be better out if the box. The Vapors are built for more durability.

I personally will not buy from them. I prefer addidas or New Balance. To each their own tho.
Me too. Is it that they’re too narrow?
Black Friday…Great time to buy discounted gear! 💰
Nike needs to bring back the courtballistec 😢
Try ASICS and you will never want to go back to these
ASICS are the top dogs of tennis shoes in my opinion! And I used Nike back then, but ASICS >all
Gel resolutions are the best
I switched to Lacoste, so much better than the Gel Res!
Unless you slide on hard court violently and the bottoms are burned out after 4 hours of play
Tried, broke up within 2 months, Nike 9.5 is the GOAT of tennis shoes
Nike are for me the worst tennis shoes.
would you recommend buying a used pair of the zoom vapor 9.5??
Depends on how worn out they are 😂
you scruff them, you buy them!
Lol
Hey nick what is the white racket u are using ?
I am curious to know the racket as well.
Is it a wide shoe? I like wider shoes, I don't like my feet in tight shoes during tennis.
probably the leather option was almost a off-court shoe, but leather is always nice
Any “cheap” shoe recommendations for a 3.5 hack like me with wide (fat) feet?
Do you prefer these over the AJ3's?
Hmmmm they are both nice
anyone know what nick's racket is?
The Jordan one is a joy to wear
Diadora speed b.icons next

I rotate a lot
Collab with FootDoctorZach when?
Has to be ASICS

Playtest the asics, they're way better
608 new balance for me
I bought the cheapest ones, they broke the first time I used them :(
Heh guy in the white cap STOP GRUNTING !!! Bogus you are not even swinging ing that hard!
These cheap ones wear out fast. Way too fast.
Now compare them to some real shoes. ASICS.
Nike tennis shoes are hot garbage.
I haven't supported Nike, since they went full woke-tard, while having their shoes made in mostly in china.
Friend of mine had these cheap nike but they did not last long ...they break in place where the feet bends
