I've looked at many of these kinds of videos. Yours is the only one that addressed the splattering of food inside of the vehicle and mitigations. Cheers!
Oh my, you remind me of my aunt Lee. She gives every single detail of her every thought when she speaks. Holy moly!!! Just don't cook greasy food inside. BOOM!!Eat vegetarian or make a salad and sandwich, have a bowl of oatmeal, that's clean. Tuna and instant potatoes. There. Now all you need is hot water. Not greasy or spattery.
Just love your attitude man. You're so upbeat and positive. It's like you're ecstatic just to be living your life. It's v inspiring. Less IS more! You know, if you had some heat-proof gloves you could dismantle that woodstove while still hot, wrap it in a blanket or something and use it as a bed-warmer if it's cold
Thank you so much for stressing the importance of having a carbon monoxide detector. I worry about sleeping in a Walmart lot or similar place and having someone park next to me while running their motor to keep warm while pouring carbon monoxide fumes into my vehicle. I always have a detector and check it often. Happy trails! Oh, I just use my butane stove for steak. I crank it all the way open and use a cast iron grill. Works great. I use this system all the time, even at home.
I love everything about this video!! Your enthusiasm is infectious! Thank you for the practical real world info. (And your shout out to us crocheters made me cheer! 🧶🎉☺️)
I just love watching your videos. That was such useful information and tips for cooking. I was wondering how I would cook on the inside of my vehicle when I get on the road. Thank you.
Really appreciate the clean language! Thank-you! Before your video, the idea of cooking in the vehicle felt overwhelming, but now not so much. Great video!
This is really great - inspiring confidence as I set up and plan to do some SUV camping as well. About to snag the wind-screen and wood-burning stove! Thanks for sharing all these ideas!
"Hot Cuisine" -- yeah buddy! . . . but the expression I always heard was "Now we're cookin' with gas." (My own SUV camping setup is coming along incrementally and is all-electric, with wood and fuel options for outside.) Even so, your experience is very good to see!
Good video and I commented before on another one, got my CRV and going to be doing some work on it heading out this summer. What's the deal when I go to your channel it says no content?
@@intheopenair3725 Good to know! I have the 8+ and it takes great video too. I’m wanting an action cam and thought maybe you were using one. Subbed ya!

I like the wood 👌 stove. I have seen those in other bigger vanlife builds for permanent spaces, but your ideas work pretty cool, too! I was wondering how it would work if I wanted to still get one if I wanted a smaller space but travel more and want to bake something sometimes! Have you ever seen Corporal's Corner? He bakes stuff right in the ground or in dug outs! I like your ideas, too! Thanks! Appreciate, very much!
Thanks Dawn! I’ve found it really does work so well. This little wood stove has exceeded my expectations. And no, I haven’t tried cooking like that but I’ve seen the method here and there. I’ll give it a go one day when I have the proper amount of prep time. Cheers!!
You can reduce your butane consumption by using lids on your pots when cooking. They hold the heat so you won't need as much energy to raise the temperature of your food. Also, if you are going to shit in the wild, you should probably convert to a primarily vegetarian based diet as the responsible thing to do.
Thanks for demonstrating how you cook in and out of your car, complete with beautiful scenery.
Thanks for being here for the ride!

Thanks very much! I’ll tell you what’s slick... your hiking videos. Well done, Miss Frost 💯
I never would’ve associated plastic & a hot burner! But if it works! Very creative.
I know this is an old video, but I just subbed! Love your explanations of things and your setup is great! You should have more subs:)

Exactly what I was looking for today.
The only thing I would strongly recommend is having a fire extinguisher on hand with an open flame, inside or outside.
Very good advice!
I realize Im kind of randomly asking but do anybody know of a good site to watch newly released series online ?

I wonder where all the Amazon packages get delivered to.
Does the foam pad in the wood burning stove serve any purpose or is it to keep it from rattling when stored?
Hi Greg, that’s exactly right! I just put it in there to keep it quiet while driving.
Loved this video.
Great video. Learned a lot. Thank you .

're gasone butane container..is the valve unique? Differing info that you have to use gasone only, standard doesn't fit? Thanks. Great set-up.
As far I know, all of the butane containers, regardless of brand, have the same standard valve. Cheers!!
Very smart ideas😀👍

excellent.
How many uses can you get from 1 butane can ?
How long does one of those canisters last to cook with?
Have you ever been ticketed for no vision out your back window?
Cool
Thanks!!
Thank you :-)
Are you going to add the links?
All set now. Have another look. My apologies for the delay :)
Thanks!

Link for the pot?
How wide did you make your bed?
Hi there! It’s 26 inches wide. You can see all the details and more in my Build video. Cheers!

It is one way, cooking inside the car messes up sleeping area. All the food residue sticks on the interior. Too many repeated areas, wasting space

That wind sound was to much. I couldn't watch the full video.
I go inside the vehicle (out of the wind) after the first minute / intro. Happy Holidays
