- In today's vlog we head back to Volcano Bay with our friend Matt, who is a Volcano Bay first timer, we wanted to get his overall reaction to the park. We also wanted to do a bit of a water park experiment this week. We've been asked a bunch what our favorite water park is, so we're making this series of vids to get an updated look at all the water parks in Orlando. Then at the end of the week I'll give my ranking of the water parks! But this is just my opinion and I definitely recommend taking a trip out to these water parks if you can. Today was great because it rained so most of the crowd left after the rain and we were able to get a lot of slides in! Then we had some lunch, which was pretty good, and got some more rides in after the storm. We even got to show you guys a bit of the water coaster this time! Ruby Heart So their dog is unwell and someone needs to stay home with him, and Jenn edits the videos but I get the vibe that she still feels like it's Tim's channel so if anyone is going to go of the two of them is should be him, I've also never seen her driving so it's possible she can't drive so can't make the trip.
She explains in the last video her twofold reason for not having gone yet; one is Bandit needs someone at home and the other is she has a large bruise on her leg and wanted to wait til it healed.
Jenni Blye I feel like she wouldn't go alone as well, I know she mentions her anxiety occasionally and I think it extends to being out on her own if I remember correctly. It's got me wondering whether or not Jenn can drive now realising I've never seen her driving...

I think right now their booked until the end of July maybe even august by now, so you might want to be checking constantly for when they open that September booking list. I'm almost 100% confident that they will sell out of cabanas for September within a couple weeks of opening the booking list.

Austin Arvidson Id say Sunday or Monday cause most people go for like half a day or not at all on sundays because they have to get back to work on Monday

gabi brathwaite yes everyone that walks into the park gets a taputapu and basically you go to the front of the tide and there will be a totem that has a screen with a part to tap your watch. After you talk the screen will say "See you in X amount of minutes" and when that time passes it buzzes on your wrist and makes some noise to let you know you can go to the ride and go into the line
I love Tim, but I miss seeing Jenn at the parks too. Can't wait to her insight on volcano bay when she visit
Sounds like some of the volcano bay employees may not be on the same page as far as rules go? Hopefully they are still working some things out so there's no confusion in the future.
I just went there today. That place is outrageous. I wish I lived in orlando so I could go every day.
I get email info from the Orlando Informer, and have just completed one of their surveys. And you are one of the answers. They list a load of Orlando-based youtube sites and yours was one of them. You had to rate them 1 to 10 regarding information given by website and if it was any good. And I gave you 10, top marks.

We just did Volcano Bay last week. We are a family of four with an 8 and a 6 year old so getting there when the park opened was tough. We also learned that the buses from Royal Pacific are every 30 minutes. So we didn't arrive until 10am and the lines were 2 hours plus for everything. What we did ride was amazing, but you can only do the lazy river and wave pool for so long between waits. The line for the body slide at the top of the Volcano was 255 minutes!! This was a tough park for us due to the crowds.
I enjoy seeing how happy Tim is there....

I wish I was following Tim and Jen when I did my college program...I was a vacation planner at the front of Epcot so I probably saw them once or twice ;)
Hard to say, but there are definitely ways to increase your chances: apply to Walt Disney World because there are more spots, apply to every role (unless you really can't do one..I didn't apply to custodial), apply early and do well at your interview by showcasing your personality.
If you want to follow me through all the DCP milestones I'll be vlogging the whole thing on my channel! I just graduated college so it's kind of late in the game for me but I'm so so excited

I didn't think much of volcano bay prior to the open, but now its honestly looks awesome. loads to do, some fun rides and great theming.

You should go to Water Country USA in Williamsburg VA! And ride colossal curl! My mother, little brother and myself went on it and my mom almost fell off (not the ride but the floating device you ride) and she ninja kicked my brother on the back of his head. And I did almost fell off too.

I am so glad you give the park a chance! Other channels are throwing shade after visiting once during opening week. I can't wait to go and you are showing how things are already improving since opening.

Mary M There's only two that would be unavailable to you (providing you're around or above 5'5). I believe they're called Oh No, and Oh Yeah (Of course in a Hawaiian joke spelling).
Most of them are good just don't do the drop slides (ohno and ohyah) and I'm 5,2 and I can touch the ground in everything else
P.s don't go too deep in the wave pool

they really don't plan out the volcano bay vurtal line. when you do you tapu thing everyone is crowded in the lazy rivers and all the ride nows.
Makes sense to go towards the end because even with the storms people get more tired from the sun which is probably why they leave before the park closes

I feel like I'm playing devil's advocate on the weight restrictions matter here but I'm fine with that- Tim you're the 1% who I would expect to be around 200 pounds or a little over because you're really tall, but honestly most people smaller than you shouldn't be that heavy, there is nothing healthy about being under 6 feet tall and over 200 pounds, I'm sorry if that's a harsh reality for anyone but it's true and maybe it will go some way to encouraging some local floridians to eat better and exercise more because if enough people are over that weight to mean no one's riding it then there's a serious obesity problem going on. I'm overweight for my size and I'm 168 pounds, and the average woman is my height or a few inches taller, so they should be around my size or smaller ideally, it's crazy what's socially acceptable health wise in the US, I'm British so I don't get it at all.
Sorry to get serious on this but I think it's important to be mindful of that.

200lbs is a little ridiculous! no grown adult is able to ride it! reasoning why i dont give universal my money. yes i may be "pooh sized" but i shouldnt feel that i couldnt enjoy what others experience because of that.
The average American male is 195 lbs which still gives it a 5 pound buffer, Lost those few extra and then try again. Universal purposely sets a high restriction because their Volcano Bay has pushed the limits of what a water park can be while still being safe. They have the best water park in the world and they wanted to let their visitors feel the best thrilling moments and feelings on those slides. That is why it has strict weight restrictions. Plus, why should they lower the experiences of other just so fat people can ride them. Go to Universal Studios or IOA for no weight limits.
This is about as standard of a water park as there is. We have plenty here in Wisconsin that are anywhere from 15 to just a few years old and none of them have weight limits. This is simply a case of poor engineering because they wanted to rush the park to beat Avatar and wound up leaving out a good chunk of the adult population. The "just lose wight and stop bitching" attitude is a really shitty one when this is clearly a case of design flaws.
David M dude idk it's universal. I'm sure they put a lot more work than an engineering team in Wisconsin. As I said before, the park is made to push the limits of what a water park can be and with big drop and turns comes weight restrictions. Stick to Wisconsin made water parks if you can't ride the ones in universal
David M exactly half the park isnt finished! universal may be quick to add new rides/attractions, but the flaws are consistent.
I think the 200 lb limit might be temporary, it might eventually go back up to 300 once they've done some extra work on it.
Just got back from Orlando where we did two days at volcano bay. Really good even though the times were long, if you plan it well it's good. Krakatoa is amazing the way it pulls you back up after the drops.

That place is the best. I'm so grateful to have been able to go for 2 days. Unfortunately after walking barefoot all day my feet hurt so bad the rest of my vacation at universal. I was limping everywhere.

With the pass you get to pick and choose at your convenience, a 70 dollar one day pass and it's a all or nothing one time deal. Add to it the food cost, renting a locker , ect and it may turn out to be a 120 bucks to play for a day. Got to pick the right day to go.

The ride now stays on for as long as you want, Tim. I was talking with a cabana attendant last week and I asked that very question and she said it stays on for as long as you want.
