Everyone says this bike is aimed at young beginner riders, I am in my 50's riding for 35 years and ridden sports bikes, adventure bikes, road bikes, dirt bikes and have just got my MT03 (ice fluro) and it is in my top 3. It is light, flickable and great fun. I'm 5 10 and would say am on the limits size wise for comfort, I may change the rearsets to give just a little more room but that aside I love it.

I bought an MT07 last year, which is a great bike. However I wish it looked as good as this new MT03, and I also wish it had the digital display setback behind the handlebar like this, rather than ontop of it!
I was lucky enough to try one at my local dealers test rides. Honestly its the most satisfying bike in the lineup. Being 1,87 meters tall took me a while to figure out how to sit on it to be comfortable. That is the only "fault" for me, worth it i say. I wanted to by one as soon as i stepped off the bike but damn the covid I'm unemployed.
I agree, a used MT-07 is much better, the torque and power it produces completely destroys the mt03. Unless you're getting your first bike, then a 03 might better for you.
It’s so awesome they are making more small bikes. I started on the Ninja 250. Back then all they had was the 250 Ninja and the Honda Rebel. The ninja 250 was $2999 brand new

@@Englishbikerdan I agree with Tomer and I can't speak for him but for a new rider moving up from a Euro 3/4 compliant 4 stroke the step up in power/weight/brakes/gadgets etc on bikes is a big deal. I recall doing my Full license and being utterly amazed at how easy it was to ride a 600 because the bike would go forwards with the clutch control only, it would stop without having to squeeze for dear life on the breaks and it felt so much more stable and capable generally. features like ABS,TC etc are a complete shock to the system after moving up to a bigger bike. Its like finding out that they lied to me in sundal school and GOD actually has 2 wheels.
@@Englishbikerdan as a new rider, It is hard to tell what is the difference and how much difference there is actually between bikes. where I'm from bikes are not so cheap (CB650R costs around 13500 british pound) so its a pretty big decision.
These lower cc bikes are perfect for people who live in the city. Insurance would be good, don’t need do go too fast, can go fast when you need it too.
A couple of questions: Q1 - Did you try riding it at night time?? ( I believe you might get different feel just saying) Night time the lights will also look cooler.. I saw the bike in showroom (morning) I thought the headlights are very small compared to MT09/10. As long as the light clarity is good enough it's win win for everyone. Q2 - Does this bike have Traction control?? Q3 - Does the tachometer has a signal light which nowadays flashes when gear changing is required?? Q4 - Please don't mind this I know you didn't do it in the video but Did you experience rear seat?? Is it good enough?

Budget Bikes I hope they bring the MT-125 to North America. I’m 15 and i’ve been looking at the Duke 125 and MT 125, and CB150R.. But they aren’t available here. I have a TW200 and i want to stay in that ~15hp range, i just want more technology, for example ABS and EFI
Thanks for the review. I am now waiting for this bike to be released in Japan. But I consider MT-25 as my first bike since car inspection on machines below 250cc not required here. I would love to see a comparison with CB300R
@@jg-zi9xw I saw Yammie Noob's comparison. The Duke was miles ahead for brakes, suspension, technology etc. I'm going for the duke in a year when I will take the A2 license! :)
In short, no but then I;'m guessing you paid a lot less for a 2019 model. The biggest upgrade on the new MT03 for me was the suspension. The new changes make a big difference.
Best looking small capacity bike would have to be between this mt03 or cb300r. I love Honda quality but Yamaha’s always seem more fun. Tough one! Who care which is faster as they are both not meant to be super bikes. That’s the most fun when you can give a bike all it’s got on the street and twisties.
How do you think this little bike would go with my 120kg on it? I'm an older bloke and I just want something cheap and fun so I can go riding with my dad, so far this is the 1st place choice.
@@Englishbikerdan my legs didn't fit under the tank protrusion. Didn't have that issue on the MT07 I signed the paperwork on today though 😊 Dad is happy, mum not so much haha.
Watched this before going to a dealership to know what to look at manage to get a one for 4.2k which I think is banging value for money, well can't be worse than a 125
@Robbie D I agree, to a point. Certain bikes are inherently fun because of how they deliver power or handle. Then I've had fun on bikes which people tell me are boring! It's definitely easier to have fun on a fun bike. 😊

I think they are aimed at younger riders, from the design and marketing but that doesn't mean us older riders can't enjoy. Ride safe! 👍
gotta love that mt03 engine. This bike also has a better power to weight ratio compared to some other 500-600cc bikes, less torque obviously.

I recently started riding and I got this as my first bike. It’s a hell of a lot of fun riding this thing.
Size is only a cc thing,having a bike that is fun to own and so enjoyable to ride is what its about.I love my 2020MT03,ride safe,have fun.

Go for the Duke, looks and style can't be beat or duplicate on the KTM.. lot's of bolt on upgrades, overall a fun motorcycle

Is the 41 BHP your refering is for Braking Horse Power or Engine Power? I'm a bit confuse. If its the engine then its better than duke 390.
Brake horse power is the power output of any engine measured at the engine's flywheel.

Lighter but less power. Both great bikes but the 500 wins for me as I think it's a little more practical to use everyday.
