I havent but I no the basics, I work with aen ministry at Church and I no makaton from my work, I been trying to look for courses but very expensive and I don't c any certificates, I'm also trying to sign songs at Church aswell
I love the way you teach but the music needs to go. It’s too distracting and very fast which makes it tricky to concentrate. Take that away and you have a brilliant teaching tool! 😀
..I did want to learn BSL but the music is doing my head in being a hearing person I can't concentrate as it is too much of a unnecessary distraction ..
Hi Latoya. Your speed will come from your fluency in BSL. You will get more fluent as you complete BSL courses and immerse yourself in BSL by talking with Deaf people, getting as much information as possible in BSL. Have you done BSL level 1 as yet? Also, the Bible in the Easy Read Version will be easier to interpret into English, but you will probably be better off using this version with another (more accurate) Bible translation.
Oh my the background music is a traditional Chinese folk song called "茉莉花(mo li hua )" meaning Jasmin flower, I can't believe I am hearing it while I am trying to learn BSL.
Thank you for your great videos. I have recently made friends with a deaf person, and I feel ashamed that I didn't know even the most basic greetings in BSL. Thanks to you, I am beginning to learn this wonderful means of communication.
No problem. Here it is: If you want to learn BSL, you can look at your local council's Further education colleges for British Sign Language Level 1. One of the main course examiners, Signature, have a list of accredited providers that you can look up courses run in your area: www.signature.org.uk/british-sign-language Hope that helps!
