  • In these videos you can easily see the strength and stability of this trolling motor mount. Since it was created first as a bumper and then developed into a mount for a trolling motor this sets it far and above anything out there. This Minn Kota is the heaviest and largest for sale on the market today. It sets balanced and rock steady. Stay tuned to my channel for updates on when this will be available to the public for purchase.

Thanks for the comment. Jet skis can be exactly what you want. A nice calm cruise in the bay. A flat out speed rush across calm water. A flying, jumping and pounding physical workout. And lastly a mind bending challenge that makes you think on your feet and tests your stamina. It is truly a full mind, body and spiritual experience if you are willing to open yourself up to it. Life should never be just a point A to point B event. So keep living life one-off!!!

There are 3 videos in this series. This video shows me headed north with the waves at my back. In this case you want your VTS down as this creates more contact and will keep you from sliding/slipping off the top of a swell and nose diving. This also allows you more forgiveness if you accidentally give it to much gas. When a swell plays out all of its energy, the water under your ski will start to get sucked behind you to form the next wave. It is so important to throttle away from that at the correct speed. Too slow and the wave will pick up your rear end and well that’s not good and you could sink. You’ve seen the Haulover Inlet videos!!! You really can’t throttle to much because the water has flattened out in from of you so no risk of jumping off that wave as it is gone. HOWEVER you are going to feel that wave pull you forwards as it plays out so go forward at the correct pace. I strongly suggest that you download a swellchart app like Windfinder. Go out on a 2 ft swell day and practice on all 3 types of directional swell driving. As you get more comfortable then gradually move up in swell height. For me driving in rough is as much fun as the fishing. Learn to read the water. You have to see and feel it’s power. It’s fairly predictable just put in the time. 🤙

Sweet videos Dalan! Wondering if there was an update on the trolling motor mount? I just got 2 Fishpro Trophies that are in dire need of spot lock. Keep up the good work man!

I’ll start posting videos next week that will give information on how to order through my email address. I’m not bragging on my product but you will freak out when this is on your ski. The look, the ride, the effectiveness, the ease of install, the LOWER stress of simply just fishing and the removal of all of that extra nonsense of idling forever is gone forever!!! Just an unbelievable revolutionary product.

Thanks for the reply. Only question is now, is that of cost... How much we talking? 250...500...1000...5000? lol. Can you give a ballpark to see if its worth hanging around to see one to order? Thanks man, and again nice work!@@One-offOutdoors

      Looking at 1500-2000.
Materials are 6061 schedule 40 aluminum which has 1/8 thick walls. 3/16 aluminum plate for flat surfaces. Then it’s sand blasted and powder coated. All bolts are stainless to brass thread lock nuts. So very rugged and long lasting especially for saltwater. Which a painted steel product will never be. Plus it only weighs 12 pounds because of my choice of design and materials.
Right now they are custom built in a small shop. But as demand increases I hope to move into manufacturing down the road to reduce build time and therefore cost. This is the way all new one off products are introduced into the marketplace.
However there is a crucial perspective each person has to consider. Is the investment worth it and how will it be able to pay for itself??
For me 75% of all the hours on my ski come from idling!!! This is very costly and frustrating. The money I will lose on maintenance and resale of my ski is much greater than the price of this mounting system. Without this system you can’t troll the banks in the lakes, bayous or bays. So you lose all those opportunities to fish silently and effectively. You can’t spotlock fish around structures and are forced to idle or try and drift targets all day!!! Again very frustrating and expensive. Constantly starting, stopping and restarting your ski, well it’s just ridiculous and costly. My patented invention was created out of pure frustration and need. I love love love my Fishpro but it was bleeding money and my patience.
I’ll be creating a video soon highlighting all of these points and more to help the public see just how this system is worth your time, money and effort. I’ll also be posting videos showing me use this system. I’m absolutely convinced that this one item will cause the jetski fishing market to explode!!! It truly makes that big of a difference. Thanks for your question and I hope this has been helpful. Keep watching for sure and be a subscriber. Keep living life one-off!!!!

Thanks! Watch the video over using the VTS when I was going out of packery channel inlet. That will also really help in keeping the nose of the ski where it best help you.

I literally subscribed to this channel because I saw your company was testing out a trolling motor mount to be offered to the public soon. I'll check out a few of your videos while I'm here. How are you protecting the back of your Garmin wires with the rough salt water?

    • @One-offOutdoors
      @One-offOutdoors  11 месяцев назад

Everything has tested out at 100%. Small redesign made it just a closer look and heavier schedule 40 aluminum. I use a ton of dielectric grease on everything!!!

Hey Dalan, What battery are you using to power the trolling motor and where do you keep the battery?

I have a video on my channel called “rear deck with attachments”. There you will see how all of my extras are set up on my ski. I run a 24 volt lithium because I have the power trim unit on my trolling motor. A manual deploy would use a 12 volt. The brand made no difference to me. I found one on Amazon that was the lowest price. There are others out there that will have a 10 year warranty.

How many ft swells? Difficult to hear?

This was a 6ft day with the occasional 7-8 footer. For me just the ride on the water is absolutely more fun often times than the fishing. But for sure don’t recommend it at all. Also if possible on rough days go with someone who has a separate ski. Also a radio to contact help if needed.
