No band in history held a command of the stage like Pantera. Their front man Phil was like an alpha male wolf prodded on by the unrelenting pounding of Vinnie Paul's percussion and Dime's Razor cords. Rex's bass in there and the product was 100% pure male aggression and testosterone. This song makes me feel fearless every time I play it.

Totally agree. I have no idea how people can hate on Phil and still love Pantera. His forceful yet clear delivery was arguably the key component to their sound. Could you imagine Pantera with a high pitched screamer as a frontman? Or a growler? Wouldn’t be even close to the same.

I was so lucky, I got to see Pantera in the 90's on a number of occasions. The Pantera stage show was an absolute freight train, I was in the pit of one of their shows and went down in the mosh, Pantera fans being Pantera fans grabbed me and pulled me up and we got on with the business of enjoying ourselves.
Only later that evening did I notice the perfect impression of a German Para Boot along the length of my face, I was proud of that! I earned those stripes lol.
We never thought that it would be over, despite the band living like maniacs on the road (see Vulgar Video) but in a blink of an eye, it was all brought to a screeching halt. The unstoppable freight train, derailed. Breaks my heart, even now.
