    I greatly appreciate someone who flies these copters with the nose in the direction of flight and NOT just a lift off and continual non-stop rotation around the main rotor shaft! Good job!! Once saw one of these lift off in Vietnam and just hover rock solid at about five feet for a solid 5 minutes. Must have been testing something.

    Very nice! The 'plug in' lipos are very common now but do make it difficult to use a proper charger or discharger (e.g. to put them at storage voltage at the end of the indoor season). I had a go with a Twister Ninja at the weekend which has similar altitude hold and auto land/takeoff (and the plug-in lipo) - these features do make them extremely easy to fly ... much like a stable 'toy grade' quad/drone. I do love these little scale helis - I have a couple of older & smaller ones (AS350 and EC145) with 3 and 4 blade heads respectively, both flown now from my X9D Taranis via a multi-protocol module. They are both 3D capable, but I'm definitely not! 😀Not sure why you'd want to do this with a scale heli anyway - for me the whole point is that they look fantastic while hovering about and flying circuits.

    Does increasing the 'speed' mode increase head speed or just angle of the blades?

    • @EssentialRC
      @EssentialRC  11 месяцев назад +1

      Angle of the blades I think. No noticeable change in head speed as you see in this video where I go from low to medium to high speed and back to low before landing.

      It increases the maximum ‘angle’ that the helicopter will tilt and therefore maximum speed. Imagine it’s a quad in angle mode.

    Does the helicopter need any assembling?

    • @EssentialRC
      @EssentialRC  4 месяца назад +1

      No. 100% assembled. Even the rotor blades are already attached to the head.

    Yeah, as long as you get one that don't think it's a "Rocket Man To The Moon " space launcher...with a severe and devastating impact to the Earth....Usually results in a total loss....
