During my trek north to watch XGames, I was looking for spots to pedal. When the Sapwi Bike Park popped up on the map, I wasn’t expecting much. However, when I pulled in I was pleasantly surprised to find some pretty darn smooth and poppy wood-to-dirt launches.
Every city needs public dirt jumps like this!

To keep a park this nice up in a place that gets a lot of rain and you need serious commitment from volunteers. It’s a logistical nightmare not just keeping kids from walking on the Jumps, but dealing with weather. desert climate is ideal actually

Dang, when I grew up in Thousand Oaks we had to get a ride almost to Calabasis for jumps like these, (20 years ago). Its awesome to see they are making cool investments like this.
I forgot to add, where I live now just paved over the only part of the park with jumps to add an additional 4 full size baseball fields. They already have 4 just 100 yards away and I've never seen more than 2 being used at the same time. I was pissed/sad when I brought my bike down there after it got warm.
Damn that place is sick. I just went to the only pump track that I know of in NJ and my not even 2 year old son rode every obstacle on his strider. I would ride that place constantly if it was close to me.
Oh and also never saw someone add style to a suran wrap before. Now I’m requesting a opposite spin turndown 360

You should hit some mtb trails out here. Sapwi looks like they have added more stuff since last time I was there. Nice riding.
MTB is on the agenda for sure. Have a couple rides planned but I think it will pick up more as I head north
They built one in my town a couple yrs ago too. Thats the only good thing about the reset.
I never would have quit riding if my city had a spot like this, i stopped at 15 due to all my friends quitting.
I live on Vancouver island and there are 4 different public jump parks within 30 minutes from my house.
i need to get out to those soon, so close but so far lol

@@jaydalton Cumberland has lots of mtb also. Its basically a little town where everybody rides bicycles. The bmx track is right by the dirt jumps and there is a really small skatepark. Campbell river is about 40 minutes from there and they have a pretty cool skatepark with dirt jumps and a mtb skills park. There is a little dirt pump track with medium sized table tops in merville, but they aren't really worth the trip as they haven't been maintained in years.
Oh and there is mt washington that apparently has downhill runs. Ive only lived here for a year, so there may be more jumps elsewhere

My home town had public dirt jump literally grew up there and the flow skatepark in Columbus Ohio back in the day. Please go ride Athens Ohio skatepark or Newark Ohio both are concrete and I think u would leave them specially athens
