When I was younger, I thought the “Gaming & Dating” section on the Sky Guide was about video games. It wasn’t until I was much older when I found out it was actually about gambling.
Sky Games/Gamestar was the best way to get your parents into serious debt. The adult channels were they best way to get yourself kicked out and/or abandoned
omg when i was 8 i randomly found the adult channels on my sky tv and i phoned babestation at mine and my grandparents house! i was in so much trouble when they both found it on the phone bill! parental locks were put on both mine and my grandparents tv's after they found out about it!
Haha I'm glad you're enjoying the shite I upload! I haven't made a single video this year, but I have like 20+ ideas and I'll be putting out new videos regularly from January onwards! There's plenty more obscure Irish childhood memories that need to be explored!
The later part of this video reminded me of the time when i saw Babestation on my dad's telly because he left it on, naturally i was fucking horrified because i was around 5-6 years old at the time, and it wasn't just me who saw it either, my sisters did too
You know, that sounds like an incredibly specific experience, but I'm willing to bet that there are MANY people with similar childhood tales as this one. I'm so sorry you had to see that
@@PKMX_ another thing i just remembered is that i was banned from using sky games but i did use it once in secret, i don't know if i racked up my parents sky bill but i still live under a roof so i think i didn't
I remember when playing Tom and Jerry Dynamice as a kid. I was able to break through the connection barriers which allowed me to play the entire game for free. Essentially, you try to pay to play, the bar loads and the game allows you to play for roughly 30 seconds before the connection breaks off. I tried inputting a password one time whilst the connection was still on and just when I pressed select, the connection failed but it was when the game was loading the place I left off and it was successful. I must have been the only kid who discovered this. Sky must have knew this glitch at a later point because the bar wouldn't load anymore as I got older.
Keep it upmam, I love your vids, you capture irish youth perfectly haha, my sky box used to turn on on channel 999 and i had to go back manually because i would keep my batteries in my wii remote and i would get a glance of those 900 channels haha
Thanks dude! I was guilty of putting the batteries in my Wii Remote too, and I understand that you briefly saw those DISGUSTING channels completely by accident, so I'll forgive you ;)
At one point my parents had ri set a Sky Games every two weeks rule. I had used it almost everyday and it coated more than just 1.50 and got like near 100 euro on my parent's bill one time which they lectured me on whilst I was eating Cheerios.
Thank you! Unlocking these hidden nostalgic memories is the name of the game on this channel 😎 I accidentally didn't upload a single video this year whoops but I'm planning to absolutely pump out new content throughout 2021!
I loved The Shrek game on sky games, especially when they would just change the background every few months and pretend it was a new version when the adventure is the exact same. There was an Alladin one I liked as well where you had to throw apples at people. I've a vague memory of some robot game that was cool too but that was one that must not have lasted long.
The Shrek one sounds amazing, and those "updates" really encapsulate how lazily developed the games were on Sky Games. Are you thinking of the Robotboy one? I think there's footage of that somewhere on RUclips!
When I was in first class at primary school I think in 2003 I would come home every single day and play the Tomb Raider Sky games and even though I could only play the first level for free on each one I had the time of my life 💗💗💗 at one point we didn't have a remote so I had to use the actual box to control Lara but I needed the remote to press the red button to open the door. Well when we eventually got one it came to an abrupt end really quickly as it wanted money for me to continue 😭 I would give anything in the world to at least play one of those games one last time. EDIT: OMG BEEHIVE BEDLAM IS ON ANDROID??? WHY AM I ONLY FINDING THIS OUT NOW I HAVE TO GO DOWNLOAD IT AH MY CHILDHOOD IS RETURNING OH MY GOD THANK YOU
I remember there was one time where you could play Tomb Raider for free during Christmas where each day, one new game will be free. I remember that day so well because of that one moment. The sad thing was though I never actually got far in it because it was actually kinda hard so I just gave up. Honestly if I knew that was going to be my only chance to play, I would've persevered but now i'll never get closure. 😒 Oh well at least I beat the Wall-E game. That's something I can take to the grave.
Can anyone remember the name of that game that was in this dark place and you were controlling this guy and you had to dodge those spikes and go back and forth? I can’t find it anywhere
2:42 I know this Chao772 Productions man, and sadly, he has deleted the game-play video, and will soon no longer be with us. He will be deleting his account after the first quarter of 2020. I'd better ask him if I can re-upload that certain video.
I've been checking the website every day to see if it's out of closed beta yet, I NEVER thought it would actually return! It better become the most popular social media site again
I loved the Tomb Raider games. Even though it was a stiffer version of the original Prince of Persia games, the music made it more engaging than it had any right to be.
The really weird thing is when I was younger I’d never actually play any of the games I’d just click around all of the Sky Active menus and for some reason always really enjoyed it. I guess I’ve always been the boring old prune I am today. Edit: I apologise for being the 70th comment Also I’d also always love watching the 998 999 Sky Intro channels for some reason - when they sent out the new viewing cards the excitement was through the roof this is barely an exaggeration this is very sad.
Fuck me this brings me back, playing the bedlam and tom and gerry games (along with some roulette game I think) on me granny's old sky box with the old light blue colour scheme
I never knew there was an Ice Age game, that sounds like another Game of the Year contender! Man I wish those games weren't lost in time - if you remember anything about that game I'd love to hear about it B)
You needed a good backup channel incase you were disturbed doing non christian activities. "I'm just watching music what of it?" Unless they question why you're listening to Party Rock Anthem at 4 volume at 3am then its the perfect plan.
Lmao dude I found this comment in my "Held for review" section, even though my settings allow all comments and I don't have any blacklisted words - apparently your comment contains "blocked words" (which must be '#gamerz'). This proves that gamers really are OPPRESSED I've never even heard of that game, but it sounds like a GOTY contender! But I've never played it so I better revoke my gamer license
Oh, and I respect your Smash Bros opinion - each to their own! It either clicks with you or it doesn't, I just personally have a good time playing it 😎
When I was younger. I would always go to the 900+ channel sections just to watch a woman holding a phone for hours.
The place where we busted our first nut.

906 is dangerously close to 606. With 606 being a kids cartoon channel *war flashbacks*

Even hearing the sky games menu music has given me violent flashbacks
you were only fecking cool if you scrolled down to "other" in the guide and scrolled past religion and clicked on adult
Anybody who did that is probably in prison now!
I'm surprised at the lack of content online talking about these, since so many sky customers probably experienced this
I was really surprised about that too! Hence why I decided to step up and be the one to finally make a Sky Games retrospective, SOMEBODY had to do it.
Honestly I think if there was a horror game inspired by this live services (instead of the thousands ps1 graphics games)
I’m guilty of watching Channel 906.

There was another well known sky adult channel called playboy one which closed in 2008

Man I am relieved that you weren't saying yes for Babestation!

Well… we now got games on Sky Q
Beehive Bedlam actually has a Sky Q remaster!
This is a really well put together video. Your subtle humour is hilarious too. Love the babestation bit lmaoooo
I'd have to say the Tom and Jerry bomberman was the best

Sherk the third I remember playing

The Spongebob Jellyfish game🥵

Sky put beehive bedlam on sky q a few months ago... maybe theyll add more games?
They better add more! We're at a point now where people are really nostalgic for those old games so they could really take advantage of that
