I find it interesting that they put so much track down finally for the traffic that was running through and it wasn't long after that traffic would drop off.
You can thank Obama. I used to work at two the mines (2005-06) these trains go too and these rails were full. Sometimes we would have trains on the main line waiting for hours to get on mine property to be loaded. Shortly after 2008 it all died off to what you see in this video.
i think it was always going to happen. as a railfan i hate to see the loss of the coal trains, but as someone that doesn't want the oceans to rise anymore than they already will, i can see why the change is coming.@@BjornStyrmir
I first visited the PRB in 2010, and they were pushing close to 150 trains ever day. Multiple 2 and 3-way meets to be had. Thanks to Obama and his EPA, that line is now a shell of its former self. Thousands of jobs lost, and everyone’s power bills are higher. It was nice while it lasted.
Love trains but all that coal is being set on fire at the other end for electricity. Hope that humans find a better way to get energy than setting fire to rocks. Nothing changed (apart from scale and payload) here since the 1950s.
Wow. Hoppers.
I love the looong slow trains ! nothing like the shorter freight trains we have in Europe.
Very nice! Thanks
Very cool captures on the action, with some great views! (Dave).
Thanks airing and sharing the outstanding video with magnificent locomotives. Railfanning endeavors are promising. Bliss
Love seeing the vast open lands and great train catches
Great video!👍
I really enjoyed this. There’s still a lot of action in the PRB.
that is so mice, where i live in Maryland the tracks are lined with trees or overgrowth
very nice production, many thanks for sharing this. nice to see almost all BNSF trains have a GE leading the train.
Awesome video dude!
Looks like a Super Hyw. With all the Tracks Together ❤ 😊

I think I've seen that West Labadie veterans Hopper on every try I've made to the Basin. Lol

Love the video! Great shots of the trains!👍
Amazing video. Super captures, seen in different perspectives. 👍
Those 3 wind turbines in the background definitely make that coal greener...
Awesome! Thanks for sharing!
How long would a train load of coal like that last in the power station
when did you record the train at 6:00? Also at 12:00.

你白齒啊,有4000人失業沒錢了你還感謝總統。
8:25. What are these sidings for?
Outstanding video, love the starkness and mutated color of the landscape. I assume you shot the video with a Canon?
A Panasonic HC-VX981K is what I use.
Boa tarde amigo! Inscrita no Canal com like 119!! Parabéns pelo excelente trabalho! Saudações do Brasil 🇧🇷 😊

Lots of electricity for the battery cars
Is this near a town? Where abouts is this located?
Still using that amount of coal? Sad to see...

So good. Keep up the GREAT work :) How often is a locomotive passing?
Сколько десятилетий эшелонами вывозятся природные богатства.

America sure does have some ugly trains
Masculine looking trains. They’re only ugly if you’re a 👨❤️💋👨
