I hope you enjoyed todays! I just recently did a cover of ZZ Top - Cheap Sunglasses and wanted to share with you some of the things I learned from this song. Learning songs is one of the best ways to develop your playing but I've seen many players not take full advantage of all you can learn from just one song. I chose a rather dramatic title for this video but the reason I think many players are learning songs wrong is they are only focusing on being able to play the song. But that's just the start of truly learning a song.
After being able to play a song, the most important step follows-- actually taking/ stealing all the intricacies and applying them to all elements of your playing. This may take weeks or months to fully achieve even from one song but will subsequently bring your playing much further than simply learning to play a song.

Great Lesson/video. Everyone can learn something from the 'Gibbon'
Absolutely!! Thank you for watching! 🎸🤘
Your vibrato is particularly impressive!
Thanks dude!
@@JordanSteele your playing just reminded me once again, that vibrato is the most important skill in lead playing. You can play minimal notes but if you’ve got killer vibrato, solo sounds killer.
@tommym321 100% bends and vibrato is everything 🤘
