Human After All is filled with many curious arrangements and techniques, mixing Daft Punk's electric guitar snippets with some meticulously programmed synth presets to get a wide range of variations to generate that kind of gritty sound they wanted to appear on the record. Of course, they would use sampling as long as the robots are masters of their craft, and that's why they created a solid hit out of another solid hit, 'Release the Beast' IDK but somehow, it seems like they use that 5 sec sample from 'Release the Beast' not only to structure the leitmotif for Robot Rock, but as a main inspiration to get the sound Daft Punk were looking for while creating the musical concept of the Human After All.
@@juanalvarez8935 actually human after all is their simplest album... that eeya synth you hear throughout is just a guitar or saw tooth synth running through digitech's synth wah pedal, the vocals are all the same digitech talker vocoder pedal, and the drums are either from samples (robot rock), the linndrum lm2, or the rhythm maestro mk2 (make love). they wrote the album in 6 weeks and thomas bangalter has stated in an interview that the sound of the album was influenced by their personal lives and the dark times they were going through. robot rock is really the only song to sample anything with the rest being written by the duo (make love is one of the first songs to stray away from their electronic oriented sound by incorporating guitar and bass recorded by the duo)

this "daft punk" guitarish synth timbre was all over early 80ies underground future funk punk rock meets.disco. captain future (european soundtrack version) where daft punk sampled it from. many scifi to action tv series, audio.plays and casette albums had this garage synthpop punkish sound. i heard it soany times.
That lead at the end really reminded me of the vibe in ‘Memory Bank’ by Dyro and Conro-it had that slick, futuristic sound. Super cool! I’m definitely thinking about diving into something like that in the future, might even turn it into a full track

Sounds great! You can make an very similar sounding analog modular guitar synth by feeding a guitar through a fuzz into the sync input of an oscillator and sending an envelope follower signal into the oscillator pitch CV.
I think a similar sound can be heard in Michael and Janet Jackson's "Scream". There's a section in the song that many have believed to be a guitar solo, but it's actually a synth behind it all
I really thought you would mention her clear Oscar Martinez-inspiration for the dance moves, but I guess the guitar sounds is a worthy mention too 🤷♂️😅
