I saw some folks comment that there were too many *lure videos* released on the Channel recently!
Thus, to alleviate their fury, here is a nice *LIVE BAIT* vid for you folks to watch and chill! What is YOUR favorite organic bait of preference?!
Extreme Philly Fishing I feel like minnows are better than worms.
Chicken breasts
i like using some fat butter worms.
shrimp is the best universal bait.. shell on, chunk, or whole will catch you loads of fish.. both fresh and salt
#ExtremePhillyFishing awesome video keep up the good work!!
EPF is one of my favorite fishing RUclipsrs along with 1rod
Our amazing asian anglers of youtube the triple A team... if it ever happens lol, both are great channels, both anglers give information. Thumbs up for them both
gordon gillard can’t forget Senko Skipper!
Great video, Leo. For whatever reason, I've used worms this year more than anything else. They work pretty well on most fish. Caught everything from a 3 inch Sculpin to a 6 lb channel catfish to three different species of trout, all with worms. And like you said, any kid can go out after a rain and get them for free. Hard to beat.
God bless ya. As a fellow Pennsylvania citizen I can respect how hard it is to catch fish.
Leo, sometimes I forget exactly how amazing worms are! Fish for bluegill, and you could catch anything! I have some in the fridge now that I need to finish off some time, maybe this week.
edit: American eel?! In my home State, we have to take statistics and notify the conservation department if we encounter any. There's a small lake not far from where I live which has been completely closed off for fishing because of them! I don't know if it's to protect them or if they're locally invasive.
I use small eel for bait round cuts to fish before it work but night crawlers are much better
Comprehensive content never gets old! Always entertaining leo, keep it up! Great job
I don't know how you only have 153k subs 😂😂😂 your so fun to watch
It’s funny how powerful the worm 🐛 is ! Catch everything from chubs to giant bass ! Funny how that works.
You’ve contributed to the birth of young educated anglers Leo. Met some kids who were fishing at the park, they were so careful with their fish handling , we started talking about your channel and how much we watch you. I love it. P.s I don’t see my name on that Patreon list 👀 lol
That channel cat is the size i take for food. They arent soft fleshed yet, n an 18 has alot more flesh then a 14 incher.
I have a crazy idea folks.. lets get chef epf going, he cooks his favorite fish recipies and we can add ours n the top liked fan recipie epf makes n tries it out? Fan recipie vs chef epf recipies?
Love to see how the master of fishes eats his fish n how we all do too.
If the Schuylkill was a tad cleaner, I would take some Catfish home for dinner too. Hah. That was definitely good eating size!
Yep, nightcrawlers are good! And it's also fun little game to play with your best buds at night.
My favorite fishing channel! you should get royalties from GLAD ziploc bags haha....new product line: "GLAD Ziploc Fishing Tackle Bags"
My top baits to recommend for catching something are;
Worms for freshwater/ and shrimp or squid for saltwater
Leo! People use salt to de slime eels when preparing them for dinner. The same principle could be applied to your hands but I can see how carrying around salt could be a hassle! Either way I thought you would like the tip!.
I agree, worms seem to be a universal food for freshwater fish! Here in Orlando we don't have many places that sell minnows etc.. so we use worms. Awesome vid as always leo!
Awesome job Leo, would be cool to go fishing with you one day. Worms are quite the universal bait.
Take a newspaper with you when you go fishing so when you catch an eel you can easily grip it with a sheet of newspaper
No more slime on your hands and the paper stops the eel from slipping around when you unhook it
Hard to beat a good old fashioned worm. They catch almost anything. Awesome stuff man
You are a very entertaining guy to listen to and watch!
Regardless of content I will always learn something new from your videos leo! Always informative! Thanks
Leo would you do a fishing trip specifically for muskies only? maybe around philly or DMV area? seems hard to catch a musky these days here in the dmv
I'll do a muskie fishing trip specifically for you bro. XD
I prefer minnows over night crawlers. However nightcrawlers are more readily available. My biggest channel cat 15 pounds was actually caught on a night crawler.
Man in Germany we would love to catch so many eels! Smoked eel taste very good, actually it is one of the most expensive smoked fishes you can buy here. It's about 16 euro per pound.
Great video Leo. Worms are like candy for fish. I use them when I want to relax and do a more kind of chill fishing, instead of working lures.
EVERYTIME I CLICK ON A EPF VID I ALWAYS LOVE THE “WHATS UPP YOUUUUTUBBBEEEEEE” awwww makes my day!
Over here in Germany my go-to bait has to be either maggots of various sizes and styles or worms. Those catch anything but pike. And sometimes even a small pike ends up finding a worm here and there.
If nothing else works worms sure will always a go to bait
Gulp minnows work every where
Awesome video and great bait chose. Your the best when it comes to knowing the scientific names of species of fish
Thank you! Glad that you enjoyed it.
"In the end the Asian always wins ~ epf
Out of all of my years fishing the Schuylkill I have not yet fished the tidal portion looks like some really cool spots
Another great video from one of my favorite spots ! Too bad the place with all the fish plaques has so many snags. Your last spot off the steps has produced some of my personal best catches. Crappie, large mouth, walleye and some REALLY huge catfish. I dropped a wacky rig from that spot last year on my first cast and as soon as it hit the water I caught an 18" large mouth. Nice to see you there again. Saw a 42" catfish pulled up from that spot last year. Shout out to "Tat" who caught it. I have the pictures in my phone. Another great asian guy !
Best fishing channel on RUclips
I appreciate the kind words! Thanks for watching.
Hello from Shanksville,Pa. love your channel. Always looking forward to the next one. Great job
Mark’s Magnet Fishing And Outdoors ur from shanksville, pa? Did u see the fake plane crash on 9/11?
god bless shanksville pa
Matthew Williams hi Matthew. I left town about 10 minutes before it crashed. It was about 2 miles from my house as the crow flies. It knocked all the tools off my wall in the garage. Very sad day.
Beautiful fish, Congratulations this place is wonderful.
It seems here where I do my Fishery too.
*Hug!!!* 👍🎣
The universal best lure for multi-species fishing is a small ned rig with a TRD HogZ by Z-Man. Try it out sometime.
Worms are great for freshwater and semi brakish. Shrimp bits also seem to work anywhere near saltwater
awesome river fishing session.
You know rubbing your hands in the dirt gets the eel slime off your hands right? 🛁
Fun video... Good Job. Next you could use corn... 😎
I know, man. But I just can't. Lol. I don't know what's worse...having the slime on or rubbing my stuff in the dirt. 😨
@@extremephillyfishing 😂
Smoke eels up. Its delicous
i enjoy these long videos leo, keep them coming , tight lines!
I don't know why i randomly thought of this, but i feed my snake frozen mice. You should pick some up and see if any fish would bite lol.
I had an eel wrap around my arm. I screamed like a schoolgirl.
Anytime we fish a river with known eel population, we'll take a few sheets of newspaper, easy to grab them without getting slimed.
what up man nice video and good luck fishing 👍
Thank you!
Does the fish hook themselves while using this setup? Or do you take the rod out of the holder and set the hook as soon as you see the rod tip wiggling. Thanks for the help!
All my recommendations are EPF
Some time ago I had a similar day at John Heinz. I targeted the northern snakehead and caught just about everything else instead.
Dang Leo, I've been trying to add the American eel to my species list forever, but I can't ever get one. And it's like you got cursed with them!
Grilled ell and some rice sounds good to me !!
good vid man i always love your river fishing sessions
Small Worms!!! Universal best bait.
Universal lure is Trout Magnet in hot pink.
Hy friend from north east Philly love your videos I try find a good place to catch a good fish to eat give me a good idea wear thanks and God bless you
Go to lardners point Google it it's not far from you I'm in the north east too I'm gonna go fishing later maybe 15 min away
Why do you prefer the tidal Schuylkill to the delaware? Just curious, more small creeks to fish the mouths of
Great video as always Leo.
The intro is EPIC 😂😂😂😂
My fav fishing RUclipsr
Come to Pittsburgh for a fishing trip and let me know I would love to fish with you man
Hahaha the Asian always win catfish loose. Good catch and I agree night crawler is always the best bait. 2 fish, 2nd rod not inn the water yet and 3rd fish hit before 2nd rod got toss inn. Awesome fishing 🎣 video. I enjoyed watching your fishing video bro keep it up👍👍👍
You are the eel ninja!
Ever try Night crawler for saltwater fishing ?? Cheaper then blood worms or sand worms
Awesome love the vids
Glad that you enjoy them! Thanks for watching.
Great video man
I didn’t know the Anguilla rostrata took the same epic journey as Anguilla anguilla. Assumed they spawned in the US somewhere.
Heard circle hooks are good for bait fishing doing catch and release, but never see you have problems with gut hooking. Any experience with them?
Catch and release only for several species in most the body's around me, but pressures up and bites been slowing. Want to try worms or minnows, but worried of wrong fish inhaling.
Circle hooks are definitely recommended! I usually don't gut hook my fish because I am fast on the hookset. But if you leave it there and give it enough time to eat, the fish may just be in trouble. 😬
Thank you Leo
I agree. I suggest worms to every new angler
I like this but what about a bait vid targeting a specific species
Those come...from time to time. Lol.
The best baits in the world are natural baits hands down. But with that being said, I don't have a problem with artificial ones either, it just depends on what the fish are wanting to bite on at the time.
Where you able to try off shore boat fishing leo?
Try using shrimp in fresh water in one of your vids
Leo have you ever caught a star drum they look like a American silver perch
Check out the Smugmug Database hyperlink in the description of the video. There is a Drum there. It could be the one!
@@extremephillyfishing Stellifer lanceolatus is the name I didn't find it In your data base
What size hooks are you using do you small fish?
Gotta try and do some fly fishing sometime bro it’s so much fun!! Big damn that bait does work!!!! Lol sometimes I cheat and use live bait on my fly rod but not often 😂😂😂another great vid and tightl ines as always!
Osny Fishing Adventures thats not cheating , I do it to 🐟
Come to elk river at Servia and if u do u will have a hard time catching something
Thomas Maham we’ve been catching fish up at Sutton Dam if you go there in the morning
love it bro keep up man.
So much action, you need an intern
I caught a bass today with worms
Hey Bro I’m from philly too
Love the vids keep it up
Love this Chanel Leo keep up the amazing work!!! 👍🏿👍🏿👍🏿
Heyyyy whatss uppp youtubeeee best intro on RUclips
“In the end, the Asian always wins” haha
Plz plz tell me where to buy the live worms?
Never noticed the bag until he grabbed it tbh
I remember before watching your videos, the reason I subbed was your channel picture 😂
Best worms are free worms! Just posted my first FULL video!
U should fish near scranton pa. I would love to fish with you
Where is that spot? I've never been there.
I have a secret hole in PA you need to see brotha!
Whaaaats up leoooooo
For being an endangered species, you sure did catch a bunch of American Eels.
Nice video bro 👍🏼 new sub.
Eel bite becareful
EPF i love the graffiti on the walls.
The moral of the story is buy more worms
Hot dogs are a way better bait then worms, great for catfish, parish, bass. Every thing seems to enjoy it only issue is it falls prthe hook rather easily.
I was tossing everything i had one day, my kids using hotdogs slaying stripe bass lol 😂
