Thank you i finally got this! One thing i would add to this is make sure you have some food already in the workshop before you send any settlers and it should start out at 80% happiness.
I did it in Red Rocket Truck Stop. with 6 settlers, 6 food, 9 water,70 defences, 7 beds, no picture no wooden box, size bar just 1/3 full. I don't even need to do the sleep and wait trick, I just play normally without visiting the place at all.The happiness keep rising as I play the game normally. The achievement pops up without me visit the place. By the way, I was playing with PC version. Thanks for the guide, it helped a lot.
I followed your guide after many tries with Sanctuary and holy crap it works! My Red Rocket Gas Station was empty from the beginning and it only took 1 real time night for me to get this final achievement after doing everything you've said. Thanks a lot!

I can 100% vouch for this method. I thought this achievement was unattainable, but i did everything this video told me to do and got the achievement. Took me a while though, i had to wait around for maybe 3-4 hours. Thank you so much!

It took me a couple of hours but following this video worked, I had lots of extra caps so I got one more settler and clinic as I seemed to be stuck at 97/98%
Great video! What I did was create a new save to reload to. Do not save over it. Then I sold a bunch a stuff from a bigger settlement and I used only settlers. I did not idle at all other than resting. I placed a bell and a chair next to the clinics. Rang the bell and waited for 12 hours next to the settlers. Waited a couple minutes then slept for 2 or days then repeated until I got the trophy. Warning do not rest at 99% can the cause the game to crashed. I reloaded auto save at 99% then got the trophy at 100%. Then reloaded my main save.

It works, however i will recommend you before you start the game disable from your ps4 the sleep mode (i was at work while i leave this game running and looks like the ps4 turn in sleep mode after x time of hours) also this works if you have a line resource. You cant leave the base or the place bc the happiness drop. Some times even if you sleep The happiness doesnt go up (idk if it was bc i had a line resource) just leave the game run while you go out to work or you are doing something else.

I think if you sleep 24 hours go to the workshop then sleep 24 hours again it speeds up the time till your happiness increases. Using this got through the last 8 points in about 10/12 minutes.
did everything as in the video except i had 5 settlers and 4 clinics and i got 100 happiness. so if you're struggling with caps like i am (don't want to progress in the main story yet) you can try to make less clinics and less settlers, invite them one by one.

Yeah, I noticed your edit and I saw someone got the trophy with 1 settler, so there's even easier ways. He kept building crates and someone else kept building paintings. haha But still better than the hard way with 20+ settlers, which is what I did.

Initially, I had 50% of happiness when I build and send people to the Rocket, was 80%, as long as I put them to work in the pharmacy Happiness fell to 79, I slept for 24 hours, the up arrow is not moving in than mb problem ?
Here's a new problem mines has jumped to 80 with the arrow pointing up and its just stuck there. I've slept, waited, spent caps, talked to them, rang the bell and still doesn't go up. Any ideas anyone?
does your charisma need to be high? did everything you said but the happiness is at 30 with an up arrow but wont move....tried sleeping a couple times and standing around but it wont change from 30
Do you need to carry all the necessary materials for the build up? Or can you create a supply line from Sanctuary (with a resident settler from Sanctuary) so that all your other settlement's items are accesible? Or even an external supply line bugs the Happiness? This is why I ask, because otherwise I would need to go to Sanctuary which luckily is very close, load myself with all the junk and turtle-walk back to deposit it in the Workshop for faster access.
So I did everything you said. Still wont go above 93 which is the highest it has ever been. Been running around, tried just standing there in workshop mode and normal mode for two days now. not two days in game, two days real time. so wtf am i missing. its the only non dlc achievement i have left to unlock.
Can you save your game and complete this? Say, you want to get things set up per the video and then decide after doing the sleep, wait in build mode rinse/repeat you want to play off another game. So you save and take note of the time, and come back to that save later when you have time to dick around doing something else. Anyone successfully tested that? I'm trying it now, currently been stuck at 85 happiness for an hour and probably will save it and load it up and let it sit overnight.
+Chris Moody Confirmed, you can save during the process, play another game or another F4 save, come back, and keep the process going. It will slow down as you get into the 90's and maybe tick up one number at a time, but just go to sleep after each 'tick' and wait in build mode for it to go up again.

You sir deserve a medal, out of all the methods I have tried (4 or 5) this one worked and it only took me 55 minuets to get to 100
