Was so excited when I listened to this the first time I had to pull over, the slow jam flex had me beside myself and now seeing the video with James Duvall!? They are so committed to the nostalgia, to their craft, and also to the zeitgeist. The careful self awareness of how they bring nuances out of the now by calling upon the best in the past sets them very much in their own league when it comes to this reflective genre. Its getting to where i listen to them more than their influences. Good thing I'm already laying down with a fever because I would have been here any way after watching this, ha.
I have come back to this video every day since it has been released. It is stunningly beautiful. James and Siyon are beautiful actors who emote so much, through just a few sequences. The brothers clearly have a magical connection that allows them to give us music that is unlike anything else right now. The lyrics are a gut punch, the vocals are so smooth and heartbreaking, the guitar and synth melodies ring through my headphones in the most comforting but painful way?? They give something to me that is so resonant with the state of the world, and simultaneously pull you back into a nostalgic place that you’ll never be able to experience again. A lot of jumble to say - WOW.

This video is a bit funny, maybe a little over acted here and there and supremely 80s period piece? No offense to Mr. Frank the Bunny/John the Mod, I love everything you do, and the crews production was fantastic. I love the video I don't want to sound critical. Simultaneously it and the song are legitimately touching. I was listening to this just now and the tears just went. Body of Light are wonderful geniuses.
