Most of the songs from the 70s and 89s have a saxaphone in it.
Greatest Female Voice in History
The bodyguard is such a great movie with a awesome soundtrack . RIP Whitney
there is a scene in a bar with a jukebox playing in the background, Dolly's version is on the jukebox!
I recognize this song within the first 5 seconds.
Saxophone is passionate ❤
the greatest ever 💙
This song sends CHILLS up and down my spine!!! And she’s stunningly beautiful!!😍
She is arguably thee best female vocalist of all time!!❤
Legend. No one like her.
Dolly jokingly said about everyone saying this is Whitney's song said (along the lines of) she can have the song, I just want the cash... she is priceless.
Yes, Dolly will frequently joke she was fine with Whitney getting the credit for the song because she got the cash for it.
"Beyoncé who?"
@@19stalkernBeyoncé has nothing to do with this. Go be weird somewhere else.
@@tnicoletnicole: Well of COURSE I will.... I have no place commenting anything on here unless you agree with it. 🙄
@@19stalkernWhitney Houston is THE GREATEST VOCALIST OF ALL TIME
But leave Beyonce out of this
The voice ❤
whitney, the greatest of all time
Kevin Costner absoutely loved Whitney. He spoke at her funeral and made sure to emphasize that they had a special reationship, It wasn't sexual. It was best friends.
'The Bodyguard' was an amazing film, & with the incredible Whitney Housten singing this song is so iconic. RIP Whitney
Dolly said she had to pull over to the side of the road when she first heard this version. She loved it.
SHE WAS WITH CHILD WHILE PERFORMING THIS AND SHE BLEW IT AWAY.... THIS IS A TRUE TALENT... THAT FACTS CATEGORY OF HER OWN
From the movieThe Bodyguard.
The love Story that tied the main characters in the movie ( Frank and Rachel) never really ended. Kevin Costner's eulogy at Whitney's funeral service said it all.
Whitney is the best no one had a voice like her one of a kind
Please remember this, there was something in that Kevin understood where Whitney was coming from. In her own way,.I believe that Whitney was asking for help from Kevin There was a special moment for the bot
😊h of them. The song was an appropriate. Love This Movie .
And today? There's nothing like her anymore.
Nobody compares!!!!!!!
Whitney was about 6 months pregnant with her daughter when she shot this music video. That explains her sitting like that and her fuller (beautiful regardless) cheeks. Google knows all. 🙂😀
Those 1st 2 notes hit me hard just like Adel's "Some One Like You". Just hits me in the feels...
great to see your videos again.
If you love great tenor sax then you have to listen to Gerry Raferty’s Baker Street
Whitney sang this with deep sincerity. Almost as though she were already saying goodbye. When I sing this, I think of my Dad. He passed at 44.
Favorite Whitney? Hands down, "How Will I Know". A song of joy, wonder, affectionate crush, hope for the future
Love the song, love the movie , love their friendship in real life .
He went to the funeral , and we can tell the real pain he felt .
Such a shame , that she isn't with us anymore.
Awesome review, I love your videos. Keep 'em coming!
Anton...please listen to Whitney Houston performance of our National Anthem at the 1991 Super Bowl. In my opinion, it's the best I've ever heard. Truly from her gut! That is if you haven't seen it before.
Yes, that is my guy Kirk Whalum on the saxs, he is now for years doing his own thing and has a unique style!!!
Rip Whitney 🙏❤
Look at the uncensured girls on film version
Wow! Anton, seeing ya struggling 4 the right words on Whitney at the beginning just shows me how talented ya are when it comes to knowing about great singers and their music. It would be easy 4 ya 2 just sit there at the beginning and just spit out any old fancy words like most do on here when it comes 2 singers or songs but not ya, man. not ya at all. so your struggle on this classic banger proves to me how much of a genuine 24-carat cold person ya really are, Anton. you're so friggin' authentic, man. and that's why we all love your take on singers and their music, my brother. 💯👋👌
Absolutely exquisite.. This song and scene still make me shed a tear till this day. The Bodyguard is one of my favorite movies of all time. The whole soundtrack is phenomenal.
The song and soundtrack were massive. You had to live during that time to know just how massive they really were. This song and other from the soundtrack were literally everywhere you went, on TV, or turned on the radio. Just everywhere!
I love didn’t we almost have it all… plus this song and a lot more
She was 1 in a million
Dolly Parton wrote this as a farewell to her one-time partner and mentor Porter Wagoner, from whom she was separating professionally after a seven-year partnership. She is not only a fantastic singer/songwriter but also a savvy business woman - Elvis wanted to record this, but his manager would only let him do it if he was given half the publishing rights and Dolly wasn't having any of that. If you check out her version, it's sung with sweet simplicity and sincerity rather than the power Whitney brings - not saying one is better than the other but always interesting to see how different artists perform the same song.
No disrespect to Dolly but let's thank Whitney for this rendition
IWALY is probably the most legendary and beautiful love song in the world
Whitney's rendition is far better unmatched by noone to date
Whatever Whitney touched turned into Gold 🥇 and Diamond 💎
@@Swahili14without dolly whiney would not have a song. 🫳🎤
@@gregjones4959
Yes
But what I said has nothing to do with Whitney being better
Well Said😊
Thank you for your show. You're such a cute red head love the beard
Why do i always cry when i hear this song?!
Another Whitney song from The Bodyguard soundtrack you need to hear and react to is “Run To You”. Hope you see the movie.
I love that one too❤️
Nice. Genuine. Honest.
Country singer, Dolly Parton wrote this song
You should definitely watch the film the bodyguard which this song is from
React to Debrah Cox-sentimental very underrated artist and she’s from Canada 🇨🇦
My town used to have annual talent shows, one of the contestants did this song and when she hit it I knew she had it in the bag. She would eventually be on one of those singing reality shows. Can't remember which.
She was coked out through the filming of that movie and it’s crazy because she absolutely killed it in the movie 😭
Too many people want to pit Dolly Parton's original version of this against the Whitney cover. I love both of them singing this song. Dolly wrote it from a very emotional standpoint and her singing it is about the emotion, but Whitney completely embodied the powerful vocal in her cover. Both ladies are legends, no need to compare.
It's not comparable, Whitney took it where Dolly could never. That's why there are song writers and vocalist, all due respect Dolly can carry a tune and write a great song but she ain't no vocalist !!!!
@@Bigdrip840 Your opinion, i don't agree with it. Dolly is a great vocalist. So was Whitney, again, no need to compare or be petty about one being better than the other, life is not a binary choice, both can be beloved and they are.
React to Whitney live performances
Her Welcome home hero concert
I will never not have goosebumps when listening to that song. The Bodyguard is one of the best soundtrack around
THANK YOU!!!! best Singer of all time, her and Lara Fabian.
„I have nothing“ live is even better! She was a beast and a great artist. This was at the peak of her career. It didn’t get better than that. Still - what a waste, that we lost her to drugs. RIP Whitney!
First, this is actually the very first time seeing you without a ball cap on - thumbs up! LOL
Second, exactly 30 years ago, it was spending it's 13th consecutive week atop of the Billboard Hot 100 Chart (tying at the time with Boyz II Men's "End Of The Road) & the next week it would break the record then with 14 consecutive weeks at #1.
I had just come out (I was 21 years old) while serving actively in the US Navy & when this song came out, I just remember it piercing my heart and soul.
FYI:
Whitney was sitting because she was pregnant!!!! ❤
The live version in 1999 makes you understand why there was and there will always be only one like her.
man I just wished music would be like this cause her voice is just powerful and inspirational u know and just more movies like the bodyguard with this type of song is just fits so perfectly u know and u have made me something special into liking oldies music u inspire me into the oldies I like it and just keep up that information into u
And miss ...the no. 1 Karen Carpenter
@@michaelasay8587 I'm a Mr to u Mr. doesn't like old music type of person
@@jobyhill7081 what??
Dolly wrote this song in the mid 70s and it has been a hit for her 3 different times. She got the cash from this version lol.
Monster smash and her biggest hit ang the longest running #1 of her career. And I bet it just killed her that she couldn't do a full on glam production for the video. But, if you notice, she's wearing a baggy suit coat and sitting through the entire thing becuase she was quite pregnant when it was filmed. Zenith of her career and she has to sit in a chair for the video. LOL Still stunning though.
❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
I’ve loved Whitney Houston and The Bodyguard movie for as long as I can remember even though both are extremely bittersweet. I’d like to know what you think about other parts of the film and the Queen of the night song if you haven’t reacted to it already.
It's ridiculous how good she sounds lol
I just subscribed today to your channel. If you haven’t yet, you got a listen to Whitney Houston singing the national anthem.
This song is not my favorite of Whitney, but it makes me so emotional... so does that scene from The Bodyguard where she says goodbye to Kevin Costner.
Such a difficult song to sing! Her vocal talent is out of this world.
These are scenes from The Bodyguard, the movie Kevin Costner and Whitney did together.
Her voice is lovely
This is classic she’s one of the best.
Can you react you Celine Dion BECAUSE YOU LOVED ME
Goosebumps every single time I hear it. Dollys version is wonderful in a completely different way.
I highly recommend viewing the film finale performance on RUclips of Barbra Streisand's A Star Is Born. Title: With One More Look At You/Watch Closely Now.
Dolly was the original and the creator
You should check out Angelina Jordan's cover of this song.
You need to listen to the Body Guard soundtrack, this is from the movie she was in
would like to see you to reacting Yellow days~
Please please check out Mary Black , Katie, No Frontiers , Mo Carolina Rua , st Christopher, once in a blue moon , song for Ireland 🇮🇪

how is it even possible that you dont know this song ?????
@3:57 was far from a voice crack. It’s just a little thing Whitney done often when coming off or going into another belt.
This version is amazing & performed by a Diva as a Diva in the movie The Bodyguard. It was sung to a lover. In the original, it was Dolly explaining to her longtime partner, that while she was going solo, she would always love him. Not romantically, but as a respected college & friend & mentor. Hers is soft & gentle & personal. Whitney performs it like the Diva she was. Both are gorgeous but like different song. Dolly sung it again years later, to Burt Reynolds in the movie the 'Best little whorehouse in Texas. A fun comedy where Dolly the 'madam' sings it the her boyfriend the sheriff. She sings it differently to him than she did to her old boss. Just sayin'. LOL Now, go watch the Bodyguard. Timeless story.
You should compare this to Dolly's. That'd be an interesting show.
She looks younger there because she IS younger there. 😂
Dolly Parton (songwriter) + Whitney Houston (vocalist) = sweet perfection! In my opinion Whitney as well as Lisa Fischer have the best tone and vibrato on planet earth, the only difference is Lisa has a bit more range. 💕
Is this a new reaction or a re-uploaded one? I though you took a hiatus from reactions
I am, but I recorded a month and a half of content before finishing
Jesus!!!! That voice, that voice smh
I think you will also like Faith Hill - There you’ll be, a great big movie song too! Review that one as well!
Great Reaction. Will you please react to Mariah Carey please, Vision of Love, We Belong Together, Emotions.
Sadly he only reacts to REAL singers not fraudulent😔
Had u never heard this??
Dolly Parton originally wrote and recorded this song in the 70s. Whitney’s version is a cover. You should review Dollys version. She wrote it when leaving the show of her mentor, Porter Wagner.
Its whitney song now and dollly money 🤷♂️
Hello my friend ! React to gabriel henrique singing I believe you and me whitney houston cover.
If You want to see another Music Icon with a Song that's also fit to be in a Movie Soundtrack, then please check out Ms. Tina Turner in the Music Video 'Whatever You Want', directed by Sophie Mueller.
This is Dolly Parton's song. Whitney sings wonderful, I also see only 2 years ago Dolly's performance. But 100 times better. If you have time check it, how easier she sang.

just some useless info for you. dolly parton did this first but they used it in the movie the bodyguard with kevin costner and it seemed to be played every 5 minutes back in the day
Yeah, Whitney is the greatest singer of all time. There are some great singers out there, but not quite like Whitney.
Agreed!!! She’s in a class by herself…
Reacción a la banda one Repúblic
Please, for a different suggestion review Joan Baez Diamonds & Rust. Written by Baez about her love affair with Bob Dylan. It's haunting and very telling of her experience. It remains Baez signature tune to this day nearly 50 years later.
Damn Dude, you never saw the movie Body Guard? SMH!!
