Delhi is the most interesting civ of all. The only reason people don't play it a lot is because of the difficulty level. It's really hard to macro this civ. Almost everytime I forget to Que up the research in time. If you master the Delhi and then play other civs you will feel the difference of free research a lot. It's a fun civ to play and to watch the GOATs playing it...
@@jerbaancap5244the only mechanic that I hate on them is the relics. I simply don’t get them. You can only have 1 per mosque I think? And if one is in there you can’t just click a priest to go inside you have to use the garrison key or they take the relic out
This game is so addicitve. It's pretty clever to make resuming research a exclusive ability, I used to think that the devs were just incapable of implementing that XD I think this is my fav civ. I love that the infantry can build walls. The "difficult" civs are actually pretty OP if you know how to use them
Delhi Research multipliers are 3X in dark age, 3.5X in feudal, 5X in castle, and 12X in imperial. Though there are a few techs that use different multipliers (like textiles). Also, sanctity only provides +50% gold from sacred sites. Good overall, some inaccurate information, and also didn't go over the techs in the House of Learning (the new Reinforced Foundations tech is insanely good)
From what I can tell (also indicated by the orange influence around the ToV) the Tower of Victory does *not* need to be connected to the influence of the production buildings. The connected influence of the production buildings needs to inclue one of either the ToV, a mosque or a madrasa (university for Delhi, Malians, and Abbasids). This doesn't matter much for the location of the ToV itself, but it means that you can boost the attack rate of infantry produced from proxied production buildings by building a mosque next to them. It's probably more relevant in team and FFA games than 1v1 however.
Howdahs also buff sultan elite elephants HP and armor but do nothing to the handcannons. After that they are literally unstoppable if you have chemistry and biology as well.
Having never played Delhi this video explained why they have been so good in GL2, the military production with scholars in your buildings is so powerful
I love Delhi because I love elephantos btw, I watched that you can harassment your opponent pretty early with fishing ships on hybrid maps and make a dock near to their to steal its fish (because fishing ships can fish AND fight at the same time). Is it a good strategy?
Dont need tower of victory in "the main" influence to get the benefits on the barracks, They just need to be in the influence anywhere on the map via a proxy influencer structure. Alot of times i will build a mosque on one side of base to use with barracks and tower of victory on otherside with barracks since it gives off its own influence. Might build a couple siege closer to the enemy to save travel time and build a mosque right next to them. Also if you skiped building a mosque for whatever reason berhaps to use wood for a baracks and went dome of the faith it will still get the free schloar.
Abbasid can counter mass elephantos by researching a tech in military or culture wing (i forgot) that can convert (wololo) only a unit without a relic - for a cooldown ofc
There's no "magic" number and will change as you go through the ages. You have to balance your needs for research vs pumping out units. Generally, I'd say 10 in mosques and 1 in each production building that you intend to use in Imperial Age.
I keep losing with Delhi because all my opponents are faster. I don't know how everyone keeps reaching me with so many archers and a couple of spearmen before I even have three ghazi raiders. Makes me want to quit

I just hate the scholar mecbanics
I started to win some games on ladder with this civ yesterday i am so satisfied to become familiar with it ^^'

Is this true? That’s good information to know.
you must be a mindreader. I was looking for Delhi on your channel yesterday.
because yesterday there was a tier list video, in which Delhi were considered strongest?

Team games are always neglected in these videos.
Excellent overview I will try Delhi today.
This is something that I am having quite a problem with.
I almost exclusively play team games and there is so little content for it.
Thnx for your efforts !!
Marching to enemy siege with maa is priceless 😅😅

I would like to see a civ with a building that can be put on a sacred site. It would be interesting IMO.
maybe the byzantines could have something like that?
@@mnmmnmm indeed! I would love to see that with them.
I think this would be broken, special against Delhi.

Great extensive overview!
Forced march on wall building infantry can be really good
I’m new to the game
God bless you for doing these
The buffed MAA remind me of Super Mario with star buff... Run Run RUn
now this video is out Delhi is going to be much more popular
Fun video, and learned a lot more about this civ.
4v4 games gonna be infested with noob playing dheli.
Yes, I'm part of them.
Dope shit man, no cap.
How many scholars do we ideally have to play as delhi?

That scholar v MAA race at the end was rigged. You made them run in formation!
Please play more team games. It was so fun to watch
Delhi ❤️
Why would we want to cancel a research and change it to another instead of waiting for the first one to be finished?
Maybe your opponent as switched units, maybe you've switched units, and need to focus on a different tech.

sounds like u need a better build order
Can you build more than one of each landmark?
No.

Only if you are CHINA
