Thank you so much for the Great Tips 🙏
Thank u for that tip!
Getting a folding bike today, a Camp Snoke , but with similar folding peddles. Will take ur recommendation.
Cheers and happy cycling brother 🙏🏼
This pedal advice was well worth it!!!! Thank you.
I replaced my pedals years ago when my folding pedal broke. One more tip about the pedal on the right side and perhaps you forgot to add this tip in with this video, to prevent losing the pedal you removed on the right crank arm screw the pedal inside the crank arm from the opposite side you removed it from. You will never lose that pedal or it fall out during transit. Keep the wrench in your pocket or back pack, or saddle bag.
Fantastic!
Thanks 🙏
Good advice! My China bike came with these simple folding pedals. After 1000miles one started to act up, jam occasionally. Looking inside I found no grease in the bearing cage, also less than sufficient balls for stable wobble-free rotation. Still works, but 'sags' sideways - China stuff..
Apparently the ball bearings are the REAL issue, especially for longterm stability. You do not mention how these wider aluminum pedals are constructed, how well the axle and bearings really are. Buying such things mail-order is a real challenge, and price does NOT tell about the real quality.
I DO agree on the issue of pedal WIDTH and TRIP area, will consider a flat pedal set as a replacement for mine.
They have quick release flat pedals best of both worlds !
So right just changing my pedals and wheel set on my folder. Increased my average. speed by nearly 2 mph on the flat.
I swapped out out the stock folding pedals (which are surprising heavy, BTW) on my Dahon Horize with MKS quick release pedals. They have a locking mechanism (no tool required) you turn by hand to release the pedal, but is secure enough not to come loose during riding. I have well over 1000 km on them without the pedals coming loose. You get convenience of the low profile when folded and possibly another reason (in addition to proper locking) a would-be bike thief chooses not to steal your bike.
Good tip 👍
*I just bought black aluminum quick release pedals for my folding bike for $29 with shipping and taxes included. The pedals work great and will change the way your folding bike feels. I can pedal hard now, even standing up with no pedal flexing. Then when the ride is over the pedals easily disconnect from the cranks and store on a pedal holder that's under the saddle. The holder was $22 so a little over $50 will buy you a nice set of quick disconnect pedals and the pedal storage holder.*
Great tip
Thanks 🙏
you prolly dont give a shit but does anyone know of a tool to get back into an Instagram account??
I was stupid forgot the account password. I would love any assistance you can give me
@Mordechai Abdiel Instablaster =)
@Luka Layne Thanks so much for your reply. I got to the site thru google and Im in the hacking process atm.
Looks like it's gonna take quite some time so I will reply here later with my results.
@Luka Layne It worked and I finally got access to my account again. I'm so happy!
Thanks so much, you saved my ass!
I'll be doing mine like that next week. Thanks
Most welcome 🙏
Great tip Thank you
Great point, that 2 inches isn't worth living with crappy pedals.
Great idea, thank you
Welcome 🍻
There is a quick release pedal on the market today.
Never had a folder(bike) plenty of folding knives though...interesting however...Thanks
danjo2000 Thank you 🙏
I've done it now. And bike is lighter as well now
Agree!
Pinned flat pedals are awesome. I have them on my carbon fiber road bike (excellent and cool-looking aluminum Deity Bladerunner pedals - $$) and on my Fuji touring bike (just as functional but less expensive Chester Race Face pedals). Never thought to install them on my folding Dahon. Great tip. Here’s another tip: Pair them with shoes that have grippy rubber soles like Five Ten shoes which are made specifically for flat pedals. I can’t wear Five Tens because of their high arch support (flat feet) so I use Vans shoes which are just as good. They’re made for skateboarding, so they also have grippy rubber soles. Awesome combination.
Love the Chesters!
Thank you
Thank you for viewing 👍
Super sehr Gut Immer like 👍 👍
Folding pedals will let you down at the worst moment
What about quick release pedal ???
I haven’t tried those.
Simple, efficient, cheap flat pedals work for me. 🙏
If you undo/do pedal frequently your crank thread will wear off...
Agree
Never really found this to be an issue.
Its totally dependent on what you have on your feet.i only have issues with my work shoes.otherwise i can pedal for miles without any issues at all.
In China, I need this to avoid government bollards. There are more bollards than you can imagine
I got the pedals you recommended but now when I'm walking the bike inside the train... the pedal hits me very hard 😑.
Aside from removing the whole pedal, is there anything you know of I can put over the pedals?
I tried looking for similar pedals from the ones you mention that fold but not much luck yet 🤔.
Bummer
There are better quality folding pedals on the market or detachable ones with a quick release.
I have no specific experience with any of them but you can check and read reviews on these ones for example: amzn.to/3w7aDak
@@BlazinBlades Thanks. I ordered some pedal covers to see if that helps while on train.. thx
Good video. But "Revolutionize your ride!" Not quite the right title for this video.
you fold it wrong... 🙄
Let me know what’s wrong in the fold 😳
