- A mom got to see her daughter graduate high school just in the nick of time. Patty Parrotte was suffering from breast cancer and an autoimmune disease. She wasn't going to be able to make it to her daughter, Samantha's graduation ceremony, but teachers made it possible for Samantha to get her diploma two weeks early at the hospital where her mother was being cared for. This is so sad because I am in 9th grade without my mom. I remember my mom had thyroid cancer and she passed away a week after I finished 8th grade. In late 5th grade when I found out she had cancer, I burst into tears and my mom comforted me. I remember in 8th grade it was a harsh school year. 6th and 7th were really good school years for me. Then 8th grade came and thats when the lightning hit me. In 8th grade on the first day, I was an excited little kid at 4'10 with a voice that was so high pitched and squeeky. I was almost 14 that time. Then after Christmas break ended and 2020 started, January 1st felt weird and just little was about to know the great depression of my life would start after 1st semester ended.
By March 18, 2020, after the 28th/40th week of school, school changed into remote learning. Then my voice went from deep to high pitched when I talked in march. Thats when I was 5 feet tall. At the end of 8th grade, my life felt hopeless and I felt moody all the time and depressed because of quarantine and my 8th grade Language Arts teacher made my life hell in Remote learning and already was in School at beginning of 2nd quarter. She was failing almost every student and marked so many assignments as missing even though I turned all of them in. She made the students do a virtual presentation about college board and didn't do that assignment and got a D+ at the end of the year in that class.
At least I got a A- in 3rd quarter in that class s even though I had a D+, it changed to an A-. I was sad all the time and got mad easily because of puberty. The cancer my mom went through made everyone in the house sad. My voice was no longer high by late 8th grade. I was 5'2, fast forward over 5'5 now in a massive growth spurt. My mom passed away almost 7 days after my 8th grade school year ended and was hospitalized on June 9 2020. I couldn't visit because of covid rules, I was 14 and 15+ was required age to visit loved ones in hospital. 😭
My mother pass away after my birthday was over. On my youngest brother senior year before graduation.

My mom had colon cancer( inside her large intenstine) and was reaching her final stage(nearly died) since she didn't know about it and her doctor was insisting she had stomach problems,till she got her blood tested and immediately got surgery and chemo therapy. Every single morning no matter the weather she is jogging on the beach for one hour straight,never smoking,never drinking or eating sweets, seven years after this almost tragedy. You have to be entrusted in good hands in order to be treated perfectly. I'm proud of your aunt she is a strong woman.

All her pains were gone and she was free
