    Alcohol basically dehydrates body at high altitude and hence helps to thicken the blood which naturally happens at high altitude due to lack of oxygen....Therefore drink a lot of water to make blood is thin so that it can reach till brain and avoid AMS ( which basically what dymox does ) and avoid alcohol at all costs :P JUST FYI :D

    • @rupamshee3435
      @rupamshee3435 4 года назад +2

      Absolutely correct. I don't recommend consuming alcohol to keep body warm. Army and local people can do that because they are staying in that place for 365 days and their body is accustomed with cold n altitude. For a week visiters like us no alcohol.

    Hey Tanya, ever since I’ve seen the movie Seven Years in Tibet, I wanted to visit Tibet and MT. Everest. Deep in my heart I really looked forward to that and that became my dream. As I grew older and started working, I worked hard in full filling my dreams and saving towards it. I watched several documentaries and read a lot about acclamation, so I asked my coworker and friends to join me, perhaps it was expensive for them. I than decided to go solo and finally October 2017 I step foot in Tibet and slowly we traveled to Mt. Everest base camp. I had booked a group tour and it was an easy journey to base camp on a vehicle, unlike from Nepal. We arrived in time before sunset to take pictures of the sun lighting up Mt. Everest. That night was the only time we didn’t shower and we spent the night in a tent. It was cold, but that was my own fault, keeping my jacket open out of excitement until it started to get dark, by that the cold got to my bones. I was thinking of traveling to Nepal and do the track, cause my friend that I met on the tour ask me to join him the following year, but it was too soon for me, cause of prior traveling plans with family. I’m glad I didn’t go, cause he never made it to the base camp. Midway he got sick and was airlifted to the hospital, because of an lung infection during the hike.

    2017 I did Annapurna Base Trip which is at an altitude of 4100 m and I did it with my Friend, a Guide and a Porter. Everest Base Camp is in my Bucket list. I am fully aware of the cost and so I did not do it so far to ensure I have the money. I totally agree with Tanya on the Items to carry (although I would personally reduce a few more), Itinerary (which of-course can vary), a good training for a month would ease one's muscles while hiking (if the hiker is a beginner) basic running everyday for 1 month with moderate exercise should be enough. Instead of Protein bars I carried a mixture of nuts (Almonds, Cashew, raisins, & walnuts) to keep myself energetic. Looking to finish EBC as well one day of-course once the pandemic is over.

    One can do Bangalore to EBC and back in around 30K if you plan very well. For example you can pack coffee, sugar, Bournvita, snack bars and dry poha from India itself and have a proper dinner only at lodges in Nepal. Roughly 1500 INR per day will be ok. BLR-LKO-BLR will be the flight @ 7K INR return if you plan ahead.

    • @arnprasad
      @arnprasad 3 года назад

      Rough estimate - Banglaore-EBC-Bangalore is around 25K if you are very short on money. Flights to Lucknow and Back say 8K, LKO-GKP-KTM by public transport is 1K, KTM to Salleri is 1K shared -Jeep. Salleri to EBC and Salleri - 15 days trekking@ 1K INR per day. No need for any whey or fancy things. Just take instant Coffee, Bournvita, Ready to eat Poha, Biscuits, Snack bars like Snickers and glucovita/poppins. Just buying a flask of hot water at lodges will mean super cheap beverages, breakfast and Lunch. Only have proper paid dinner at lodger. Dal Baat is unlimited and fills your stomach. Do all your shopping at Dmart to save further. Carry around 12Kg backpack. IF you have plenty of time - travelling by train in second class to Nepal border will shave off further 5K compared to flights.

    • @ashvinbaldania
      @ashvinbaldania 4 года назад +12

      Its a my protein Brand , in name of protein they are running buisness and looting people
      Example :- they are selling dosa batter , do you known its integredients ??
      INGREDIENTS: Rice flour (45%), Black gram dal flour, Soy protein isolate (Soy) (20%), Hydrogenated vegetable oil (Palmolein oil, Sesame oil), Salt, Acid (Citric acid), Raising agent (Sodium Bicarbonate), Fenugreek seed powder, Acidity regulator (Sodium acetate).
      ALLERGENS: Contains Soy. Produced in a facility which also handles Oats, Dairy, Wheat flour, Tree nuts.
      Too much artificial integredients . They are just want to sell products in name of protein.
      Stay away from all products . Just eat mother nature product which is not manipulated .

      They are a big British brand open since 2004. They have a rating of 4.4 out 5 on trust pilot which is exceptional with over 46,000 reviews.
      The company is totally legit they just want to promote their brand in our market.
      Alot of huge influencers have been helping them promote it.
      Flying Beast who is a Pilot and a body builder plus RUclipsr has adopted the product and has been consistently using it for months.
      They even took us for a tour to the distribution center.
      I will be purchasing it as well today. There are 6 hrs left in the sale.
      Protien is used for bodybuilding and makes recovery from even injuries fast.

      @DoctorMthepodcast 4 года назад

      All you guys commented are totally correct. Whey is “readily available” protien-part fortified. It’s for athletes and body Builders who have a sudden spurge in protein levels to heal and build their traumatised muscles. On a regular body protein via digestion is more than enough. All other non athlete people will not require it.the body has the quality to convert excess protein to fat that’s also very very tough to lose.and more than that it will strain the liver and kidneys.even worse that kind of protein -artificial sugar load can push body to non insulin dependent diabetes mellitus.im a doc and have some considerable observations on it .so be informed

    Loved the video as always tanya but I would like to add "MY PROTEIN " is highly overrated, OPTIMUM NUTRITION (ON) is the real deal.

    Woowwwwww Tanya ❤❤ Splendid work 👏👏 A to Z everything . Inspite of being a long video I didnot feel like skipping even for a sec. Though m not a mountain person as such but it was a treat to watch you explaining it all so nicely. You could be a great teacher too😝😝. I m assuming you did this way back may be before lockdown, remembering it all so precisily, after a long time is not easy, I can tell u have done a lot of homework before this. Awesome. Your Everest Series is going to be hit for sure. Also plzz tell me, did u shoot this whole video in one single shot czz it seems so????

      @@rajshreesharma8726 guide and porter are associated with company, if you want without company, these two don't come with it. I did EBC in sept 2019 but with a company since it was my first visit, so if you are first timer as well. AMS is real, so I would suggest to take a guide atleast, but your trek bag should have all the necessities and most imp your fitness to cover the distance. Porter generally take 100 usd or some take 80 usd. And guide might take take a max 400-500 usd.
