Doris Day was one of d most gifted actresses in Hollywood.What is even more admirable,she was also a great singer.I respect all d actors and actress who won an academy award,although I am not a fan,because several were not even nominated for their excellent performances.A great example is Doris Day being overlooked after her great performance in d movie,Calamity Jane.RIP dear Doris Day!

Gilbert Martinez same here! Then once VCR’s came on the scene I started taping her movies. It was so much fun to be able to play her movies whenever I wanted. Decades later she’s still my favorite actress, and I love her music so much as well. So beautiful and talented.

I also agree. Todays stars can't carry a candle to the former stars who also has life experiences outside of Hollywood which helped make them look like every day people. Today's star are so obviously: Let's pretend!
