Figuring out what part of quilting, brings you joy, unlocks so many possibilities! Joe is such an inspiration besides an incredible artist. Thank you for sharing!
I learned so much, so inspiring listening to someone who really embraces his own creativity and vision. Loved this beyond words. Thank you both for doing such a fine job and sharing so much.
How could anyone watch this and not fall absolutely in love with these two? Brenda's intelligence and graciousness! Joe's sense of humor and individuality. Love. Love. Love.
I love when we can move beyond the “rules” and to make the work that is authentic to each of us! HandiQuilter brought us all the possibilities.... thank you Brenda and Joe!
Dang, what an amazing interview! I learned so much and so enjoyed hearing Joe talk about his quilts, and the fabulous quilting he is inventing to go on them! Thank you both!
Joe and his art are truly an inspiration. I enjoyed hearing his processes...both creative and skill/techniques. HQ great idea to promote ' Artist's in Residence'. Thank you. I will look forward to MORE.
I loved watching this...I use many mediums, mostly dye, and I think I would never make a quilt big enough to need robotics, but what a mind bender, out of my experience, with such talented and nice people to explain it. It does make me want to get an I pad with a stylus!
I've watched the Gee's Bend where Joe was a guest and it was delightful. I love watching the ladies at Gee's Bend tell their stories. Thanks Joe for a good show!
Seeing this made me jump out of bed and address a minor issue with my domestic sewing machine. I fixed it. This was very inspiring and I love seeing Joe.
Wonderful, interesting interview with Joe. I felt like I was in the room listening to the discussion of friends talking quilts and Joe's process in quilting. The photography picked up a lot of the detail of the quilt being discussed like I was closer than seeing it at a quilt show. I appreciate all that it takes to arrange and produce such a quality video. I was waiting for the promised picture of a quilt hanging at HQ headquarters that was promised earlier in the show but nothing is perfect. I loved seeing the quilts but the thoughts behind the creations added depth of meaning. Good conversation that did not feel like a formal interview. You both knew your subject and let the discussion take the lead to the next question or inspirational comment or suggestion.
I am so glad that I ran across this tutorial with Joe Cunningham. It's some thing I always thought of, getting my own images to the long armor, but at this point do not have a way to do that. I am new to long-arm quilting and no computerized version at this time with my Amara, someday! Thank you for this educational tutorial! Joe is an awesome quilter!
Great interview! Glad you talked about the quilt on the wall because I really thought it was Jesus. I also loved the quilt with the chickens. I am a new quilter and found this very motivating. Thanks!
This was just delightful! Thanks for sharing your quilting life with us....Joe the Quilter! I seem to remember you used that at one point....maybe in a magazine?
I read 'Albus Dumbledore' on your portrait and connected with your process immediately. I live on Hawaii Island, so I first saw a 'throw net' when the onion bag was up. I want to try machine quilting, but I just find it so impersonal. I am getting there, but still not there yet.

Great discussion and food for my quilting brain. Also inspirational. Gees Bend was mentioned. Loved that documentary!
This was fascinating! I adhere to Joe's philosophy that "you can make anything you can conceive!" He is endlessly inspiring.
Such a great episode, so much honesty and integrity. Real watch and learn stuff

And keep being your own bad selves!
Agreed! I was getting discouraged by the same ol' same ol' videos. Finding this one was so refreshing.
Expression of what I love and enjoy in life.
I got so much from this interview. Absolutely wonderful perspective and creativity is shown! Thank you for sharing.

This is so good. So freeing for my long arm quilting. Express vs communicate, love it. Thank you.
Loved this - I learnt so much and it's inspired me to look into 'robotic quilting'!
OMG!! Such great inspiration! I will start signing my quilts!! I promise! Thank you so much for this!

I love your quilts Joe and how you express yourself. I’ve taken a couple of your online classes and hope to take many more.
I guess I'm kinda off topic but does anybody know of a good place to stream newly released movies online ?
@Noe Bryce Flixportal :P

how to you get your drawing from your ipad to your protstitcher?
Pro-Stitcher Designer is a full-featured design software for creating
paper or digitized quilting motifs. The program is available here:
prostitcher.com/prostitcher-designer/
What program did Joe use on the ipad to do the designs?
I heard him say it was calle, "Graphic." But then he converts the file to sew it on his machine.
