It's good you mentioned the bad design of the PCB....
In addition to the problem with high current you mentioned, there appears to be terrible separation between the 5V measurement side and the potentially high voltage side.
The chip boasts a 2.1kV isolation, but that PCB looks like it could easily fail well below that (possibly even at 240v mains once it gets a bit of dust on it).

it means if you try to measure the current for 2kV, you are okay. above that might be dangrous.

Hi Robojax! Im doing my final career project and Im building an EPS for a Cubesat. I have to use this type of current sensors with Arduino and MATLAB (college requirement) and I tried to measure 20mA current from Solar Array, but I couldnt read anything (because sensitivity I guess). Im using ACS712 30A with 66mV/A. Is is possible to use the 30A unit or the 5A unit for measurements of 20mA to 500mA? I guess this values are to low that the sensitivity doesnt variate the voltage enough to give measures.
    Thanks in advance! :)

      Hi,
Even 5A range is too high for 30mA. Use 2% resistor to measure very accurately. I have another video showing how to measure the voltage. The current would be voltage value of the resistor. Just search my channel

this is the example that you use. didn't understand why you didn't get it from this video? I showed power supply. your power supply is solar panel. to measure you need load. so your solar panel must be connected to a load to measure current. without load, there is no current.

if at 0A you get1A and test it if at 3A you are reading 4A, then subtract 1. I know there was issue and addressed it with another sensor and library that I wrote. ruclips.net/video/z-s8UvCWGxY/видео.html I might update this library, but am very busy now.
