I'm excited to sahre this new recipe with you all! I have been LOVING this breakfast - especially on mornings when I don't want something savory (ie. eggs!) but still ant to enjoy a high-protein meal. I can't wait for you to give it a try. XXOO- Dani
I LOVE your channel. You have changed the way I eat. I am a recently retired 67 year old professor who enjoys around 4 hours of gentle to medium exercise, 6 days a week. Clean eating (especially the protein enhanced meals) and proper sleep have rounded out my healthier than my prior life. One suggestion: I am among those who prepare recipes utilizing metric weights rather that cups, tablespoons and ounces. It’s the way of the future that makes for more proper cooking, at least for me. Grams are the way to go! Again, thank you for spreading healthy eating. An aside: my favorite part of your episodes is when you taste your creations and then utter, mmm, mmm, mmm, mmm. The cutest thing going 😀
Hello Dani, your channel is life changing. I lost 20 pounds this year on a 80/20 plant based diet. I love that your recipes are easy and versatile. I purchased your cookbook last week. I'm now focused on a high protein diet. I"ll be 40 years-old in 2 years and my health goal is to be fit and fabulous.😊
French Toast makes everything better. Your recipe looks delicious! Never thought to add protein powder to the custard base. Can't wait to try. I always love how your recipes are easily adapted for those of us with diet restrictions. Thank you, Dani!
Dani, I made this today and I was wowed! It was so delicious, and it's definitely a keeper! I also 'Kindled' your cookbook, the Eat Clean and Get Healthy with 100 Whole-Ingredient Recipes. Thank you for the videos!
Ah Dani, you always have the best healthy Yummy easy recipes. Thank you for listing the protein powders. I am going to take a look. I am in full menopause and have been for a while now and I need to increase my protein. I know I am not getting enough. Thanks again and have a great day!! 😊
Yes! I know so many women in my age range (I'm 48!) trying to increase their protein intake (including myself!) so I plan to focus on this here as well! Stay tuned for more high-protein meal ideas.
O my goodness, I came to my kitchen very hungry and I happened to connect to RUclips and this video comes up. Looked so delicious I started to prepare and let me tell you it’s so awesome delicious and fulfilling thanks for sharing. Came to me in perfect timing. I had Pumpkin spice protein powder from Flavcity added super yummy❤
Looks great--love French toast! Going to try this plant-based as I have a family history of Cancer so need to avoid the estrogen and possible BLV in dairy and choline and lead in eggs. Thanks so much for sharing
I always enjoy your videos! Fun to see the French toast made out of these ingredients. I slice whole loaves of sourdough bread into 1 inch or less slices, set out to dry out on a big plate all day. Store away until next morning and they easily soak up more of the wet mixture. Thks for ideas on yogurt and protein powder! I will use that soon. Wow! Ahna. Atlanta Ga.
Hah, so weird that I just made a plant-based version of French toast this morning, and this video showed up! I used a mung bean concoction that is supposed to mimic Just Egg (which is way too pricey for me), and it came out great. I added cinnamon, vanilla extract and a little maple syrup to the batter. I may try adding the protein powder to the batter next time. Love the sprouted bread idea as well. I topped my toast with bananas, blueberries and maple syrup. Thanks so much for the recipe!
@@CleanandDeliciousDani You're welcome! I'm not sure whether links are allowed here, but if you are interested, you can Google homemade Just Egg or mung bean Just Egg, and a bunch of recipes will show up. I actually wanted it for omelettes, but the texture from the recipe I used was a bit off. That said, I will tinker with it because it is so much cheaper (and healthier) than commercial Just Egg.
I love watching you and your healthy recipes, so I bought your book and I ABSOLUTELY LOVE IT because I am on a special program for detoxification , so I have to watch I can eat and your book is the most of everything I can eat. Thank you so much. 😊
Thank you Dani. I have been looking to bring more protein into my meals. This recipe is simple, healthy, and delicious. Im looking forward to try it out. 🤗
Hello and love your channel!:). I have a question, does adding the toast to the heat cut back on the protein amount where it’s being put in heat. I just always heard adding foods like this to heat lessens the benefits and strips out the nutrients and protein? Just curious and want to try this really bad but want your thoughts on it? Thanks so very much and again love your channel❤
Hello Dani! 🤗 Your french toast with berries and yogurt is beautiful! I'm not a fan of, but with your presentation, has me a believer in, liking! ❤ Also, I like sprouted grains bread. My Mama mentioned last week how great you look, since first sharing you. She said she can see a difference. I on the otherhand dont, as you always look great to me. Cheers, dear! ❤
Will definitely make this Dani! French Toast is up there on my fav list and any way to kick up the protein level is a plus. It snowed buckets last night so a trip to the grocery for the Ezekiel bread will have to wait a bit. Thanks for sharing.
There's another cooking channel I follow on here called The Whole Food Plant Based Cooking Show, and she has a recipe for a grain bread that I've been wanting to try. This would be great for using that bread. Another sign from the universe, Dani! 😂
The egg whites have more protein while the egg yolks are mostly fat. Because I wanted to make a high-protein recipe, I chose to use only the whites but if prefered you could use the whole it will just increase the total fat and lower the total protein content.

Do egg whites or yellows have more protein? Why do you prefer to leave the yellow part of the egg out? Thank you for your help.
The egg whites have more protein while the egg yolks are mostly fat. Because I wanted to make a high-protein recipe, I chose to use only the whites but if prefered you could use the whole it will just increase the total fat and lower the total protein content.

Why do you use whites vs whole eggs when they are a complete protein? Thanks
Because I wanted to create a higher protein, lower fat french toast. I do agree that whole eggs - are super nutritious (I am not anti-whole eggs!) and could certainly work for this recipe if preferred.

how do you make it dairy free?
You can use plant-based milk and yogurt - that would work.
Did not see your suggestions for protein powder

Hi!
I think I would rather use a whole egg than add protein powder, which is a processed food.
You can definitely so that! The protein content will be lower but if that's not a priority whole eggs are great!
👍👍👍👍
Hello could you share something vegan, I love your content
Some would call this "anaboblic" french toast
Makes sense!
I'm that bread hater: loaded w sugars n other 'stuff'. We have 2 brands sprouted that are equal price but superior nutrition
