My daughter and I recently made Chicken "Alfredo" Lasagna for freezer meal prep that was outrageous! The alfredo sauce consisted of roasted mashed sweet potatoes, almond milk, cottage cheese, grated Parmigiano Regiano, and seasonings. Delicious!
Dairy and wheat are generally off the menu because it instigates inflammation/joint pain, but I do eat a little Greek yogurt as a condiment instead of sour cream. I also keep lots of canned fish on hand and will try your mackerel bowl, but with quinoa instead of rice. Seems I have to eat constantly to get enough protein in a day, but I get a good start with 41 g minimum protein in my morning smoothie made with soy milk, organic pea protein, and collagen as the base. Thanks for ideas!
First time watching your video(s). Just turned seventy this year, and I crave healthy food content on a regular basis. I'm so glad I clicked on your channel :) TY. BTW, I have lost 34lbs since last fall by just fasting, keeping carbs to +/- 50 grams daily, healthy fats (no more seed oils), and next to no sugar. Luckily I do not have a sweet tooth. I look forward to more of your content and recipe ideas!
I do similar with grass fed beef/bison. I divide the cooked ground meat into useable portions for our household…..and freeze those portions to pick out for future protein recipes. I put in quiche, sketti sauces, frittatas, fried cabbage, etc. I think u may talk about that already on your other videos. Grateful for your ideas, videos and reminders. They are all so incredibly helpful. Thks Dani!! All joy I wish for You!!! Ahna. Atlanta. Ga.

I definitely would love some more ways to bump up more protein in my foods. As somebody who is texture sensitive, I am always looking for a new ideas. You reminded me of those bowls but I also would like quick and easy and easy meal ideas. Thank you so much
I’m turning 50 😮 next May. So I’m joining your quest Dani for best healthiest body. Don’t have pounds to lose but would like to firm up my weakest spots. All with love and appreciation for my body as it is. Thank you for all the great ideas ❤
Just past midnight here which means it’s Sunday. So later today after sleeping and then getting up and taking a one mile walk, I’ll head to my fave natural food store where they always have senior Sunday discount on everything except sale items. I will buy a couple of the large cottage cheese tubs and start adding cottage cheese to my big omelets for a huge protein boost to start my day. I like to grate fresh ripe summer squash into my omelets for some delicious garden fresh flavor and texture. Plenty of Redmond salt and fresh cracked white peppercorns. I use eggs from pastured chickens. So intense and delicious. And of course who can resist tiny orange cherry tomatoes!? Tastier than the red ones. And some ripe avocado. Yummmy. I always keep tinned fish around too and what a great idea you’ve given us to combine the little swimmers w. cottage cheese!!! Thank you! BTW. My daily goal for protein is 130-140 grams. So this will be a terrific boost. Usually I get my protein from beef, eggs, lamb, occasionally pork, and always, chicken wings. Will start adding bison too. I do almost all cooking except omelets, in my air fryer. My wings are done to perfection in my air fryer…best kitchen small appliance ever. It’s been a game changer.
Thanks Dani! While the dairy protein options are out for me, I appreciate the other choices. I never thought about using pasturized egg whites in various ways, so thank you for sharing those ideas.
I have also added cottage cheese to a smoothie to make it more satisfying and protein rich 🌿 We don’t have bison in UK readily available but we do have veal which is high protein and low fat ❤️ Some great ideas thank you
Oooh, a cottage cheese pasta sounds amazing! Especially for those meat-free meals where you still want/need the protein boost. Looking forward to your recipe(s)... while I hunt down that cottage cheese egg bake! EDIT: for a great dessert/sweet treat, mix crushed pineapple (in juice, drained) with cottage cheese. It's simple, but surprisingly good. (There used to be a brand that sold it in supermarkets, but it's sadly been discontinued so it's a matter of making one's own)
Love watching all the ways to incorporate more protein into our meals. I was wondering you are using as your food storage. They look really easy to stack etc. thanks and keep the videos coming. 👍🏻👍🏻
Unfortunately, I am dairy intolerant. I used to enjoy cottage cheese but haven't had any in many years. I love your energy and your informative discussions! Thank you so much!!
Thank you for another great video! I've incorporated so many of your recipes, since I started following you several years ago. Would you be willing to share more slow cooker recipes, specifically ones geared toward summer?
I will keep this in mind for sure! Follow me on Instagram - because sometimes the recipes I share in my stories (i.e. crockpot ideas!) don't take them to RUclips.
5:37 Yes! I've been eating so many of those lately. Canned sardines (be sure to buy them in water) are such underrated cheap source of protein, that actually packs way more omega 3's than salmon, while being way cheaper. Canned mackerel is also fantastic
Hello! I have loved your channel for years. Your recipes are truly clean and DELICIOUS 😊 I follow a high protein lifestyle but do struggle with snack and breakfast ideas. I am lactose intolerant and allergic to eggs. Will you please do a video with breakfast ideas that do not include dairy or eggs? I stick mainly to nuts/nut butter and grass fed beef sticks for snacks. Would also love snack ideas.
Thank you for another excellent video! Just wondering if you could make one on healthy eating while traveling? I’m just getting the hang of this on regular days, and one of the reasons I don’t want to travel (even though I really do!) is because of diet related health concerns.

I can’t have the cottage cheese (unfortunately) because I’m sensitive to dairy, but i recently tried the combo of cucumber slices with avocado and olives. Very good! Not high protein by itself (I added it to my meal that already had chicken and eggs) but a good snack idea low carb.
