Officers receive a call about a possibly impaired driver. The driver was reportedly swerving into oncoming lanes of traffic and had struck multiple objects. Upon making contact with the driver, her behavior indicated she could be impaired. Later, X*nax bars were found on her seat, which she denied having a prescription for. At some point, the driver’s demeanor changed and she became very uncooperative with police. This situation was extremely dangerous for other drivers - thankfully, nobody was hurt.

"...last time one of you guys took me to the mental hospital my grandparents could not find me for weeks!" Wow, that pretty much says it all. People don't get held for weeks unless there's something seriously wrong. I hope this girl can get some effective treatment, and soon.
She looks like she has a drug addiction.
Her grandparents deserve a break from this cranked up over grown child.
Well, a medical marijuana card sure isn't going to help her... or any other mind altering drugs.
I have a feeling her grandparents weren't exactly in a hurry to "find" her 😉
And as far as "effective treatment" a crash course in reality seems to be what this young woman and many of her generation need.

Yeah they must be saints. I don't care if you paid me three times what they make I couldn't do their job.
The female officer was very escalatory in tone the entire time. Obviously the driver was in the wrong, but I think that a little bit of de-escalation training for the female officer would be good for the community.
@theinflatableman I just re-watched it, and you are 100% right about that. When the young lady was standing there - not cuffed or anything - & and the female officer asks her if her if her I.D. in her purse, I think that SHE thought she was being asked to provide her I.D., which she turned to get it out for them, & then she gets grabbed, screamed at & thrown around - THAT is messed up! The young lady even goes on to say (& not overly aggressively) that if they showed her more respect, it wouldn't be so bad. Then, when that officer goes on to LOUDLY, say, "FRICKEN XANAX BARS - EXPLAIN THOSE!!" is VERY unprofessional. The young lady had done nothing to deserve that. The cop shouldn't be the one getting loud 1st unless NESSICARY - certainly not in an ACCUSATORY way!! Then slamming her on the car, & worst - that NASTY little "Smile" she gives at 9:02 after slamming the door. That officer seemed to think she was the JUDGE - & she WAS way too aggressive - & and YES, it only served to make things WORSE (for everyone)!! Still, the OTHER officers seemed to be as reasonable & respectful as much as possible for the situation they were in. TG, it wasn't JUST THAT female officer being left to her own devices. Innocent until proven guilty, & if so, her punished is to be decided upon by a judge, not a power-tripping cop!! Thank you for pointing that out!! Peace!!
All you want to do is to safely get them into a cell where they can yell and scream all they want and can't hurt anyone. And if you had a dollar for every time they call you a pussy or a faggot, or accuse you of some false crap.........
And kudos to the female officer for putting up with the obvious sexual harassment from the suspect.
The fact that she said "the last time I was in a mental institution. . ." I think we can safely say this was a needed next step. . .and maybe keep her a little longer next time.

Fundamental survival itself inherently engages a whole range of anxieties.
All these "safe spaces" and "trigger warnings" basically proliferate anxiety disorders - instead of mental callusing through a pretty natural process of facing many anxieties in life.
"I have a anxiety" is like... no shit, every human that ever existed had anxiety. As far as disorders though, they're merely something to fully acknowledge and make habitual efforts to work on, especially with consistent exercise and gradual exposure to anxiety provoking triggers to engage brain derived neurotropic factor (BDNF) in a neuroplasticity of all the brain structures involved in imbalanced anxiety, the amygdala especially in many common cases.

You should be reminded, that your opinion is an opinion formed based off of the lack of (forced) mental health institutions before they were shut down, where even simple housewives suffering from mental issues were committed to indefinite sentences or forced drug treatment, let alone actual serious offenders, but overall were plagued by a serious societal stigma towards having ANY semblance of emotional discomfort. There is a reason boomers and old folks are notoriously “out of the loop” or unemotional, because they didn’t grow up in an environment where it was okay to be emotional, or suffering. they grew up in an environment where you “had” to be hard, where a woman “had” to be strong for the family, and certainly a man could never be emotional as a father figure. considering you’re still alive when writing this comment, YOU at this day and age should know better yourself. Your way of thinking is extremely backwards. Your way of thinking is exactly why even to this day, some people as a whole, regardless of gender, unalive themselves instead of seeking help for their problems. Especially to anyone born in the late 20th/early 21st century, life is likely viewed extraordinarily different from likely most people born in the early/mid ish 20th century. if you want to be so mindfully acute like you type, you should be aware of societal changes to both opinions and factual basis that have been discussed, researched and have changed since the turn of the century. My son is a police officer in the UK. He said whenever he had to deal with drug addicts he would always think that the person never said to themselves at, say age 7,
‘When I grow up I want to be a drug addict, be sick constantly, have no money, no job, no home, destroy my family’s life as well as my own and never have a good day ever again.’
He said many of them would weep bitterly in the cells and if he said a single kind, sympathetic word to them they would just fall to pieces on his shoulder.
It’s an unfixable plague and probably the devil’s most successful evil. When you open yourself up to drugs you let a legion of demons in.
The lifestyle they choose I guess
Yes, true but that tolerance and understanding is systematic and useless. This girl got probation. She should drug tested randomly for two years and if she fails she should get 3 years in prison. If she learns a skill or trade, she should get out early and have her records swiped.
Just my opinion. She can have a career and good life. Without a career she'll just fall back into the life.
Drugs and alcohol never just came along one day and ruined a stable life. People turn to them because they're already in a bad place in life.
Say NO TO DRUGS kids! 💯
It drives me crazy that this girl gets away with barely a slap on the wrist. She won't change her behavior until she faces serious consequences. Hopefully, those consequences won't be her killing herself or someone else.
💯
That's the common denominator today. Not enough hard, uncompromising consequences.
You need to back up and read between the lines before commenting on what you know very little about. You can't very well be an informant in jail can you? What makes a good informant? An addict. Even better yet, a "drug house attractive" female addict. Even better than that? A "drug house attractive" female addict facing jailtime and crippling withdrawals. Who within the next 5 years will almost certainly be doing tricks for meth in said drug houses. Open your eyes... see the whole picture. She's going to be a DEU tool until her brain is no longer functionally adequate for gathering intel.
That n.. mental illness 🤷♂️
She is clearly a drug addict, and drug addicts don't care about consequences because the drugs take away their awareness of consequences. She will not change the course of her life without court mandated professional drug abuse treatment.

Yes, but of all the folks I’ve seen on these claiming to have anxiety I tend to believe her. One of the first things she said was about not being able to do routine errands alone. She made that statement very naturally. I spent several years living in a few rooms of my house with agoraphobia and panic attacks. I needed someone with me to walk to the mailbox. Clearly she’s wasted, but I felt a real desperation in her as she was likely trying to mentally muscle her way to getting with her friend. Not making excuses for the state she’s in but I definitely understand it. I also related when she expressed a sense of relief to be going back to the psyche ward or rehab.
