@@jackchop1576actually you’re very wrong. it’s way easier to get kicked out of section 8 housing than regular housing. they have to follow very strict guidelines. when i was in section 8 housing, one of my neighbors got kicked out bc she kept getting into drunk arguments in the breezeway

It's so unfortunate - there always seems to be that one tenant to ruin it for everyone. I live in a building with a lot of seniors as neighbors, and I'm so fortunate. I have several electric guitars but only use them with headphones. I ask my neighbors if they ever hear me, and I've asked my downstairs neighbor if they can hear me walking above them - not a peep. Good building helps. I say hello to them, hold the door open for them, have the odd chat, I was so grateful for the last 5-6yrs to have such amazing neighbors. I could leave my door unlocked & they'd never think about going in without my consent. That generation respected things like that. But seniors pass away, and others move in. Police have been to the guy down the hall a few times. There's always got to be one. If anyone moves in with teenagers, I'll just leave.

Right, the fact the property management hasn’t evicted her is insane. Most leases state that ANY police activity is immediate termination of the lease and eviction.
I worked for a multi family housing management company, and we used that clause in the lease very effectively, if there was a domestic violence situation where the PD showed up, they had 1 chance. If there was a next time, they were evicted, DV cases are so dangerous, too much emotion and violence, that could end in homicide, or worse an innocent person is accidentally shot.
The property I worked for had a lot of children, we took that very seriously.

This always trips me out bc as a black woman i definitely don’t have wet hair everytime i shower lmfaoo. so i wouldn’t have thought anything about her lying about being in the shower. it’s so interesting to me that that’s something that a black officer might miss because of their own sociocultural experience with showering is different. but we see how often non black or non poc officers miss certain cultural aspects of things in these situations it’s so interesting.

Bizarre side note- I thought it was weird how quickly she shut the door behind her when she came out, like she didn’t stand in the open doorway for a split second, then she told the cops she locked her door as she came out.
