I have been confused about the worthiness of "Apps". I have been doing Power BI all wrong all this time! I need to be sharing Apps instead of workspaces! Thank you for this enlightening video, Ruth!
Its a very good stuff but wanna understand how can we provide an feature of having comments over any reports and dashboards.. Second question do we need to provide access over the apps or directly to the reports/dashboards inside those reports.

Question, lets say i created a welcome page on one report that contains multiple pictures that act as bookmarks to other reports on the APP. now, lets say i finished loading those other reports to the app. is there a way to link those pictures (bookmarks from the Welcome page) to the other reports on the app so that when i click on one of those pictures, its just takes me to that specified report on the app?
@@CurbalEN Yeah I have done that by seeing the video. It's saves my day but one thing I noticed that we need to create a separate workspace with some special names and add those report in that workspace and then we can create apps and publish. I was trying to do from my own workspace and it wasn't helping me to find the option 'Include in app'.

Does this "App" feature require licence? If then which kind of licences are appropriate to use it. I have pro one so if I publish my report in app then my whole consumer stack can see it?

I was playing with it before and was really annoyed that it always opened the first page of the first report in the app but you showed me the other possibilities that I have like...totally missed :p Extremely good idea on the form by the way. This makes me directly wonder: if you have a lot of reports in a company on different apps, all the feedback of these reports should come to one central spot so it can appear in a PowerBi report again as a central management and feedback spot. For instance also to indicate data issues and/or trigger flows to people to take action. Interested to do have a chat on the idea? Let me know ;) Finally to conclude this - I don't think you are being picky in many of the times you say you are. First thing I missed was the option to hide the panel all together like the filter panel. I have AM's already working on 12" devices that have issues with readability - which is only going to be worse if the panel is that big and cannot be closed. I used your video to create an App and I encompassed all my reports in one place, my bosses love it.. but I can't seem to make it open up on my 1st section (support Documentation) that I have Job Aids & a video, it opens my first Report under my 2nd Section all the time.. any thoughts?
Also; did you try adding a PDF in one of the navigation pages? I can embed word docs, but i cannot add a pdf from sharepoint it seems or perhaps i am doing something wrong.
Looks good! Nice improvement from Power BI to add this. I do have one point that needs some attention, or perhaps I'm missing something here. I have around 20 reports all shared in 1 App and at this moment the sections really help. However I don't need the navigation to have dropdown for every page on my report. I just want a section > reports. Not Section > report > page. You have to actually press on the specific page for Power BI to open up the report. :(

Justo estoy tratando de compartir unos dashboard, sin embargo, requiero que dependiendo del correo del usuario, filtre el reporte, lo cual se puede realizar con Workspace a través de los roles que se definen en el PBI Desktop. ¿Al compartirlo a través de App se mantiene el rol diseñado?. I did it in excel scientifically by quartile 1,3,,upper, lower... Your support is highly appreciated Ms. Ruth

i don't think so. If you pick just 2 or 3 reports, make the app. And then chose "another" 2 or 3 reports, all in the same workspace, it overlaps what you've done b4...unless i'm wrong...

Once the app is published, do the datasets of the reports viewed through the app also get updated when each report's schedule runs? 2. I dont think you can create apps from your own workspace as the content there is only shared with you.
