I grew up with oven baked chuck roast and vegetables (potatoes, carrots, onions and green peppers). Like you I'll be using my crock pot and start it early on Sunday morning. By 3 or 4PM dinner will be ready without heating up the kitchen! Served with sliced cucumber salad and iced tea, it will be a wonderful meal after church.
I've made this a couple of times. Intend to make it a couple thousand more times. We don't have Lipton's Beefy Onion Soup Mix in Australia (although I lived in GA for a while so I'm familiar with these ingredients, often mentioned on YT channels). I just used a packet of French Onion Soup mix, and otherwise followed instructions exactly. I've found it has worked well with both types of meat I've bought. Beef turns out so darn tender and tasty. I like to serve it with a boiled/steamed green veg: broccoli/green beans/Brussels sprouts, etc. Thanks so much! Awesome recipe!

I absolutely adored your peach cobbler recipe and I've been using for about a year now, it's a big hit with the whole family lol, so you can imagine how excited I am to see you have a pot roast recipe as well! I'm making this tomorrow! Tysm!❤️❤️
I played it back like 3 times just to be sure... she says "just how easy it it is" right at the start 😅 did anyone else catch the second "it"? and she just kept goin like a boss
Hi. I deal with a TBI which renders me unable to follow most recipes due to all the steps and confusing instructions. Your recipe is basic and your tutorial was very well done. I just know that the roast that is now in my crockpot will turn out wonderful. I am excited. You could have broken windows with the last three that I tried to cook so they went in the garbage. In fact. the last one was so tough that the serving fork broke as I tried to lift it out of the crockpot. Once again, I thank you.
Kay! If you’re able or have help? You may be on to something with making videos for those who struggle like you? Just a thought and hope you are eating well🙂
Love the simplicity! This is a perfect option for while I'm at church. Can come home to something cooked (and be gone while it is cooking so I dont drool for hours, haha). Amazing that the veggies dont turn to much..excited to try it and look forward to checking out your other videos.

So the meat was just sitting on top of the vegetables, the meat doesn't need to be submerged in the liquid in order to cook? So how does the meat get cooked is it basically steamed?

Probably the last 30 mins

Bout a 3/4 cup

Lipton beefy union or French onion gal.

True crock pots heat from the sides, not the bottom. Cheapo "slow cookers" like the Instant Pot setting, heat from the bottom, not so great.
I'm a novice do I have to thicken the gravy or just use it as is?
I use it as is. But you could drain off some juice, thicken and return to pot. Mixing in the pot may tear up the meat ;)
