I am 72 years young - when need be, I just plot down on my behind and scooch (is that a word?) when gardening and working in flower beds. Thank goodness, I just keep an empty 5 gallon bucket turned upside down so I have a support when I need to stand back up. LOL
I have a little cart thing that is on wheels and hold my tools I scoot around on.
Yes those 5 gallon buckets come in handy for that reason I've done that also !
Getting down is never the problem, it's getting back up. I plan accordingly.
Yes...scooch is a word.

The bucket is a great idea! I use a small plastic stool bucket is a bit too high for ground work. But just right for some things. Getting up is the problem...I never thought that would happen to me...something happens to the legs!

I love both cabinets. When I saw them, I thought only of a "good place for linens and blankets". It never crossed my mind about the resemblance to a coffin. LOL.

Use a dish of charcoal an antique dealer friend uses that the same charcoal you use in fish tanks. You leave it in drawers for a few days it absorbs musty smells Thank you Mary from all you do CHRISTmas Blessings your way.❤

The foundation issue would be huge if it was trees, especially roomy ones close to the house, but as for flower beds and shrubs, not so much of an issue!

Your plants are not anywhere near enough to your foundation to be a problem. If you had a maple tree 2-3 ft. away from your house then it could be a problem. It looks really nice.

It looks like the bed you put in is not right next to the house and slopes down away from the house so that the water will drain away from the house. It doesn't seem like it would affect your foundation

Wiping down musty furniture with hydrogen peroxide can work to get rid of the smell, and doesn't hurt the finish. Vinegar also kills any mold or mildew really well, but I'm not sure what it would do to paint, so I guess you'd want to test that carefully.

Maybe you could thrift very similar items, to those viewers send photos of, so you have something do physically work on, versus just a description.
