Today marks the first day of living by myself in Australia (Cathay overbooked my flight so I cannot go back to Hong Kong, and housemate left Australia this morning). It's very unlikely that I will be flying in the next 2 months or so, I currently have about 10 trip reports yet to upload so I can still upload for another 2-3 months. When I run out of vids, I'll do a 'coat hook compilation' ✈️

Great video, Jayden. I would have probably picked the Qatar A350, mainly because I haven’t flown on it yet. But the 787 is great too! It’s too bad about the buy onboard on Etihad, but at least you still get a free meal. The views taking off from Italy were great. Sorry you’ll be grounded for awhile. Please stay safe!

I haven't flown Etihad yet, although they are on the list, but have numerous flights on Qatar, and while the A350 is nice, I prefer the 787. People don't like it when cabin crew block the window tinting on the 787, but I don't mind, especially when there is some fool that won't dim his window or close his blind (had that on a QR 777 and A350, it was annoying.).
I haven't taken souvenirs from my flights, but on my one Qatar flight, a couple of ladies tried to walked off with the blankets wrapped around them, cabin crew stopped them at the door and took the blankets back.
haha indeed, he sacrificed the aisle seat to his girlfriend. Agree with fools leaving windows open for the whole flight. As much as I love the view outside, I will close it mid flight. But also hate the tinting on 787, like the idea, just don’t like the blue colours on it. Thanks so much for watching and sharing your opinions :)

@@JaydenWong Must be a concern for you but you have proof you were bumped from your flight mate so wasn't your fault. Make sure even if you're not flying to keep your travel insurance up to date in case you need to use our health system as I don't think there is a reciprocal agreement with Hong Kong. Stay safe and healthy in Australia! That meal on the flight is so good with so many things. Is it alright and free to ask for extra food like snacks in other non-budget airlines? I haven’t done so. I think you will have other creative ideas when you run out of trip reports! Looking forward to your trip report next Thursday! : )
Thank you Man-Shan! Australia is now in lock-down😵Qantas, Virgin, Cathay and even American Airlines offer free snacks in the galley on their long haul flights, sometimes they even bring it down the aisle!
This Etihad flight seemed to have been a largely positive experience. I thought the cabin crew looked unsmiling during the service, so was glad that your interactions with them in the galley proved otherwise. Glad too that you have further content to upload over the next couple of months. Tough times for the airline industry worldwide. Enjoy your time locked down in Adelaide, and take care Jayden.

Qatar Airlines I would prefer over Etihad by far. Etihad is ok sometimes. But, Qatar has always been good to me.

I hope your Budapest to New York trip eventuates. I was wondering how many more flight reviews of yours we are going to see in this current climate. Your reviews are so enjoyable to watch, too. What is your prognosis for air travel in the age of Corona? My hope for a Singapore Tokyo jaunt ex Sydney in July looks almost completely unlikely. Bum! But I am still holding out for that trip with my partner, so he can see his mum in Tokyo and we can see more of Singapore together and get to Angkor Wat.

You’re very lucky to arrrive in Rome before the COVID19 outbreak, Jayden. I know to the point that many countries advised people not to fly due to the pandemic rising. I know that’s very hard for you Jayden, but safety is the number 1 priority.

A video without the mention of “coat hooooks” is not a One World Flyer video! I am so glad that the toilet had 2, so we can all hear those words twice 😂 Did you find that fixed wing on the seat comfortable for sleeping /napping? That tv screen must be one of the biggest for economy. The food looks so-so, and the BOB menu does not look too enticing either.....I must be getting picky with age! Please stay safe during this pandemic and looking forward to more of your videos soon.
Watch out my new video tomorrow, it'll be the most One World Flyer video ever😀I do not like the fixed headrest on the side, it'll give you a neck pain if you sleep too long on one side (which happened to me last year when I flew CDG to ABU, it's better to have it either all flat or all folded. Not sure about the leg room for the person sitting next to you ?? Great take off vision Jayden...!! Charging for "extra" food in economy...really ! Great review as usual. Rome airport is much improved. It used to be much more crowded and uncomfortable. The only remaining piece is the satellite with its unusual boarding system.

I like FCO as it’s not a bad set up. I’ve only used the other terminals as I’ve only from within Europe and Italy. I’m still yet to travel on EY’s 787 your review made me think about whether I will or not. I like in Australia how Panadol is readily available unlike other countries. 21:17 he spotted the filming lmao..and of course 23:22 lol
Definitely try and use their non schengen area next time, it's a state of the art terminal. 21:17 he sure did, I saw it already whilst I was filming😂

Vive la difference! However, the cabin looks very cramped and the seat very narrow. Cabin crew seemed also very nice. Service seems good but I agree that the food for sale is not what you would expect from Etihad..I’d definetely go for the QR 350.

I would prefer flying in b777-X rather than A350 or 787😆. How ever with big planes like a380 b787 getting ignored the future is bright for these three long haul carriers

Because qatar airways is favourite airline and i like the economy class and business class also i like thier boarding music is peaceful and little dramatic

gotta love the attitude of the flight attendant when boarding. She smiles, says hello can i see your boarding pass. then it changes, oh your in economy class, down there, points to the right. No further eye contact. She wouldn't even look at you!! The second guy steps forward like a bouncer like he is saying 'that way'. Yikes!!

Good to know your flight was pleasant despite the tooth ache. Yes, it’s unfortunate that Etihad have introduced pricing on food & beverages, reminds of Finnair, where you only get one alcoholic drink with the main meal, any extra alcoholic drinks you must pay for. I guess Etihad is trying to increase revenue and become profitable again. But unfortunately for them, people will start to remember the negative stuff when they contemplate future flight bookings and might avoid Etihad is there is no substantial price difference between them and their competitors...
P.S : at least the Panadol was free in economy! 😉

generally after 10 mins after takeoff, and 30 mins before landing
